People Don't Stay For Strikes Anymore
Since they updated the playlist, majority of people just load into and leave the Strike .... Some people still struggle to kill enemies and leave the Strike.

While I have to agree that some Strikes are just unnecessary long and sloggy vs the Rewards you get, it is kind of understandable why newer players or casual players just leave directly after seeing what Strike we get.

The loot pool SERIOUSLY needs to be reworked in Vanguard Playlist cause if I open a Chest one more time at the end and get absolutely nothing after completing a slow Strike or another Borrowed Time jumps out, I am flipping a desk.

It leaves an extremely bad taste in your mouth. Add more weapons within the loot pool of all Activities. Hell instead of Vaulting old Seasonal Weapons, make those Weapons accessible in the Playlists and Vault current weapons in the Playlist.

People who are bailing on certain strikes will continue to do so regardless of what the rewards are. As for Borrowed Time I can guarantee you've never received that as a drop from a strike chess given that it's a Gambit weapon.

I can garuntee you I have and still do. The Stasis SMG?? Yes, I still do, and Vanguards is all I do.

If rewards are more engaging vs the bumped up difficulties, people will stay.

I have noticed that people don't like certain strikes and since they aren't the walk in the park they used to be, people won't play the ones they don't like. They have left simply because they want a different one...

Borrowed Time is a Solar SMG, which only drops from Gambit. The weapon you're referring to is Prolonged Engagement.
And regular Strikes are no more difficult than they were prior to Lightfall. Do they need an increase in rewards? Sure, let them drop a Vanguard item on every completion, but as one of the easiest activities, it shouldn't shower you with rewards.

Oh yeah I just checked, it is Prolonged Engagement ... my bad. Sorry user DakotaThrice.

It's the orange color SMG.

Yeah regular Strikes are no more difficult, but people still leaving it. Especially when they get the Previous Season Seraph Strikes. They bail as fast as they loaded in.

Yes I don't say shower us with Rewards, but damn, Let Vanguards have their own Exotics or something. Previous Season Weapons can be worked into drop lists for Rewards aswell instead of Vaulting.

The Vanguard playlist degraded heavily in quality with the addition of sub par boredom slog experiences. Loot, unfortunately, will not change that.

If you have a chance to get some valuable loot at the end, why bother running a slog of a strike instead of a more fun and/or less time consuming one? The cost vs benefit scale is simply structurally unbalanced with the current playlist. (Even the 'run x amount of strikes to get a pinnacle' is now effed up.)

Make strikes fun to play again, I'd say.

I prefer the strikes the way they are, but having said that I acknowledge the people who don't. Many people do them as a matter of course and just want to get them done. Some like to rush through to show how great they are!!!! Whatever, people like different things and just raising the bar has (rightly) annoyed some people.

During the last few days I also noticed players leaving strikes, especially the Mars Battleground. I rarely finished this strike with the same team. Sometimes team members immediately leaving again, after they joined during the strike.

I would really love to see the metrics of this season's strike compleations. It's obvious, that the goal to make strikes harder and more time consuming, was to increase the engagement stats. And I asume it didn't develop in the way Bungie expected it to.

Because you can't measure 'fun' numerically, it's common to look at the time a player engages with a game activity and misinterpret it as time they enjoyed. But this fallacy doesn't take into account that players will always tend to optimize their time spend in the game.
And it emerges that the strategy, that feels best, is to only play the strikes that aren't as time consuming. This should be a striking red flag for Bungie, that the cost / benefit balance of the playlist, is not enjoyable enough to spend time with.

Mars Battle Ground is true Jokes, more like most of Rasputin's Mission is complete joke, get swarm by enemy is not fun tbh,i Rather Solo 10 Cabal thresher than dealing with those endless enemy that spawn every few seconds.

I always try and finish them, but some folk do not like the grind and are used to nearly six years of speedrunning them, which to be honest always used to annoy me.

I have done the Nightfall about 4 times now and people have quit every time, if you wipe idiots leave, I nearly did last night, but just camped out in an area I was away from it and picked people off with a scout, was quite good fun actually!

Was considering loading up D2 again after not playing for a while. Are any other older activities or playlists less popular now? Did they add something to replace them? I used to love strikes and dungeons.

They have added some battlefront missions to the ops. Some (like said before from seraph season) are extremely long and while you get a bit more points toward pinnacles you just feel like you could do the nightfall instead.
10 min moon and europa, 11-12 mins mars - they are same as any other strike mission
