50 recovery is a very low amount of recovery to have.
Bring any kind of build with a health regen proc (restoration, devour, knockout, bonk, literally just equipping crimson, etc) and the enemies wont even be able to touch you provided you can find a final blow nearby. Vexcalibur itself is actually quite useful when survivability is an issue.
Only thing to be aware of is the goblins with torch hammers that spawn in 2nd phase are genuinely dangerous and should be spawncamped as much as possible. Also bubble, well or invis for each class is best for surviving the wyverns while inside the pit if you dont have access to CC by other means
I don't have Crimson or Vex. Only thing I have is Suros Regime but that's not doing much to help with regening health. Everywhere I see youtube videos they have resilience at 100 and recovery low. Right now I tried 100 resilience and 40 recovery. Either way I get slaughtered.
What level with you? Is 1815 too low?
Titan can do it easily with no weapons, no exotics and no stats using just a basic bonk hammer subclass
Warlocks would be advised to either use sunbracers or nezarec's sin with an appropriate corresponding build for immense survivability and firepower
Hunters don't have as much in the way of pure ability builds that have both survivability and crowd control, but a young ahamkara's spine build or a generic invis build would both be advisable. Plenty of examples of these kinds of builds can be found in countless videos online
Just some examples of builds you can make with few prerequisites that can clear the activity easily, there are plenty more that i can't enumerate them all
I am a Titan. Still getting wrecked...Do you mean use the Solar hammer? Why would that make a difference?
He where a higher light level and i would not have made it with out him, and frankly i have no clue how we finshed it.
I was just very happy to be done with it..
I tried this and still getting wrecked. I am going point blank and throwing the hammers but it doesn't do all of these buffs. Hammer doesn't recharge and it's only a slight buff health wise. Are you sure they didn't patch this out?
This is just not fun anymore. I shouldn't have to cheese a game to not get cheap shotted every second. I did get further than I ever did. I was in the third save zone, the timer was 0 and somehow I got shot through the shield and killed. Just unbelievable. I don't even mind the dying that much. it's the having to REDO all of these over and over again. And if I exit out of the mission I will have to start again.
Is this even worth completing?
****EDIT I got past that part. I used the Prometheus Lens and that gave me all the solar buffs. I think. My god is this going to get even harder...
what is LFG?
Then it will just be harder no? I am at the very last boss, can I call people in for help like in Monster Hunter?
Only true for the legendary version, normal version has no scaling.
"Roaring Flames: Final blows with Solar abilities or ignitions increase the damage of your Solar abilities. Stacks 3 times."
"Sol Invictus: Solar ability final blows, Hammer of Sol impacts, and defeating scorched targets creates Sunspots. Your abilities regenerate faster, and your Super drains more slowly while standing in a Sunspot. Sunspots apply scorch and deal damage to targets inside. Entering a Sunspot applies restoration."
"Throwing Hammer: Throw a hammer from a distance. Picking up a thrown hammer fully recharges your melee ability. If the hammer struck a target, picking it up grants cure."
You know you can just read all your abilities for yourself, right?
Sorry for the late reply, but i'm really not sure what problems you could be having with the sheer survivability bonk provides. Prometheus lens is a great addition to a bonk build, but there's really very few times a weapon will be more effective than your hammer.

I know this is in a different area but i didn't feel like spending 5 minutes running to the next area just to show the exact same thing
Thanks for your help. I figured out the issue with the bonk. You actually have to pick up the hammer after you throw it. I was missing it in the craziness of the crowd. Also, sometimes I would just miss completely, or the enemy dodges and the hammer goes flying off a cliff. At that point is when it's over and you get overwhelmed. Nevertheless, this method did get me farther than I ever have. To the second phase of the final boss and I just couldn't anymore. It just got so ridiculous. My wrists can't even move at this point after hours.
But it's good to know about this bonk thing. I also have that chest piece that recharges solar abilities faster. That should help for when I miss or lose the hammer.
If I try again later I will do with a group. Although I am thinking the endgame in Destiny may not be for me.
In this clip i do have hallowfire equipped. It's important to look at the ground while bonking to get your hammer to always rest at your feet. The boss is actually quite difficult to manage solo. Try to use a high total damage weapon like an LMG to chip away at him while ensuring your survivability with your hammer. On the bottom floor though there is much less to bonk as the goblins all explode. You could try combining something like a rocket and a fusion rifle for good dps if its hard to manage. The activity should be easy with a fireteam though.
