Emote before finishing Champions/high value targets, and try not to die, as the deathless streak medals, and deathless run medal (especially for fireteam flawless) are worth a lot of points, maybe even enough to push a high gold-tier score into platinum at the end if you're a little short.
And what the hell is "emote before finishing champions" is suppose to mean!? :D ... Do you mean finishers? And sure I use finishers when theres gonna be ANOTHER MAP as on that current one where's ton of bomb dropped restriction fields and adds all over all the time so finisher is pretty sure way to do a suicide :/
Oh and where the hell is that previous score I have to beat? Or do I have to memorize it too? ... afterwards! :) :/
PS: I just calculated my previous run score. It was precisely: 176 728 for our team. Yet I didn't get that platinum goal done. That is mere 175 000.
You may have seen notifications during the strike that say 'Bronze Tier Reached'. Well, you have to get a high enough score until it says 'Platinum Tier Reached'.
Emotes are the little dances and gestures you can do. You know what finishers are, it sounds like. There is a medal called 'Finishing Touches' and one called 'Insult to Injury'. You can view these in your Triumphs - Season of Defiance/Vanguard Medals/
In short, by taking a Champion down to critical HP, then doing an emote, and immediately following it into a finisher, you earn a load more points than if you just killed it normally.
The Guardian Games quest 'Shoot to Score' tracks your highest score.
Only the Team Score counts, the score at the bottom right of the screen. Adding the individual player scores together will get a higher score, but these are counting assist kills; any enemy damaged by two players, gets counted twice, and three times for each enemy that all three players damage.
But the Team Score does not count assists, each enemy is only counted once, that is the score the quest looks for and that is the total to look at.
In short, by taking a Champion down to critical HP, then doing an emote, and immediately following it into a finisher, you earn a load more points than if you just killed it normally."
What the hell are you taking about!? Finishing touch is some Dawning spirit triump, and latter is just another grindy triumph that - for sure increase your overall triumph score a bit whn completed - but to my knowing it doesn't increase any particular kill score one bit!?
During the 'Guardian Games: Competitive Playlist', you can do certain things as you play the Nightfall, like get kill streaks with certain weapons or element types, and these earn 'medals', the things that flash up on screen. They have names like 'Arc Frenzy', 'Strand Spree', etc.
Earning these medals, adds a bit to your score, above and beyond the base value of the enemies you kill.
The more challenging, and higher-valued medals are the key to earning a platinum-tier score.
As I mentioned, you can find them all in your Triumphs.
Season of Defiance/Vanguard Medals.
Here's 'Finishing Touches' for example -> https://imgur.com/a/mhoNv2P
Combining 'Finishing Touches' and 'Insult to Injury' means you can pretty much double the score earned from powerful enemies, including Champions.
Well you don't have to take my word for it. Experiment!
Kill a champion with weapons in the GG playlist. How many points do you earn?
Kill one with a finisher, how many points do you earn?
Kill one by emoting, then finishing, see how much more you've earned.
