Vex Incursion, No New Exotic

I joined the Discord that helps track Vex Incursions, under the impression (thanks to Youtube, RIP me) that I would be guaranteed an exotic armor piece that I was missing. I am missing the brand new Season of the Witch exotic arms for Titan. I went about my business and kept a half eye on the Discord server and hopped into Destiny the moment I was alerted that an Incursion was about to spawn. Lo and behold, I received a One Eyed Mask for my troubles, which is far from new to my account. I promptly logged out. I feel like I must be missing some key information here. Any tips?

Edit: I did manage to get a nice terrible roll of it from the Lost Sector so... yay me.

The new Titan arms are currently disabled, which might prevent them from dropping.

Happened to me, I think it just bugs out sometimes. Out of 5 of them, only 1 of them at the start gave me a piece I already had. You should get a new piece the next time

They should still drop though, you just won't be able to use them.

Vex Incursion doesn't guarantee a new exotic, just has a higher chance
