Thoughts on necrochasm?

The gun feels pretty fun, but honestly underwhelming, especially after the last raid exotic to release. The explosions are big and powerful, but the chain reaction isn't consistent against tanky enemies, and there are better ways of chaining through weaker enemies (sunshot, forbearance, graviton...). Of course it's in the kinetic slot, but that just means you deny yourself chill clip by your choice of crowd control, which is still excellent after the nerf. I think the poison deserves a buff so that it can chain react more consistently without necrotics, because as soon as you start taking necrotics into account, it just becomes a vastly inferior striga. Also saddened by the fact that the explosions lack the characteristic scream of a cursed thrall

And regarding kinetic auto rifles, just use quicksilver storm instead as it's better in what it does..

A 720 RPM auto that needs precision kills... I get that they want to avoid OP raid weapons but this time there is no RNG involved so why not make it really good off the bat?

No, you get the exotic for doing a quest. If you got it on day 1, the quest auto-completed.

Yeah, at first I was bummed out that I failed contest mode, but seeing how mediocre Necrochasm is, I'm glad I preserved my mental state by quitting early
