needing to get 240 spoils for a raid exotic is absurd

i do get that raid exotics are suposed to be super rare but still it should not cost 960 spoils in total not even taking into consideration the exotic cyphers and other materials.

Super boring is putting it mildly, but it's also super unrewarding to have to do it this way. Make 3 characters and every tuesday at reset, look for VoG first 2 chests on LFG. It takes 20 minutes to do on all 3 characters and you get 30 total doing it on all 3. Then you can do the solo VoW chests which give you 10 or 15 more. It takes a while but eventually you'll get them. Also people do raids all the time and RoN, VoG, DSC are usually fairly quick with a good team.

just get the vault of glass 60 spoils/week with the help of checkpoint bot. It takes 15 mins max to get 60 spoils using 3 characters. I do it every week

That would mean 20 for me, i just cba 3 chars, and even if i did i dont have enough vault space for 3 characters, or im gonna have to go on a delete god roll fest.
Anyhoo, point is there should be a quest line or some story telling involved, rather then just mindless solo playing to grind out resources for little to no rewards outside of 1 exotic at the time at the very end. Huge waste of efficiency in terms of playing time. Shouldn't take that long to make some simple MM activities around to get these exotics, just make it a hoarde mode or something, that could be fun.

Well there should be god roll deleting fest anyway since best armour pieces is artificle now you have to delete everything exepct them and exotics

KF and VoG give 20 spoils each with secret chests, and if you farm those 3x per week, you are getting 120 spoils a week. Throw in a few other raids and you can actually get those 240 spoils in ONE week.

Not to mention that those 2 spoil-heavy raids are F2P so you can grind it out on a new account too.

Well, if you don't want to play 3-char for efficiency, fine, but don't get mad about it taking forever to grind it out if you don't want to do it the most efficient way.

Raid exotics used to be completely RNG-based, back in 2018/2019 if you told someone they could get AoT or Anarchy GUARANTEED after 2 weeks of raid farming, they would lose their minds and get hyped. They have become infinitely more accessible.

there is even Solo chest you can do in raids that give 15 spoils every week on your 3 chars in VoW

Just suck it up !!! learn kings fall and find a decent team to farm each run you will earn 20-25 spoils + secret chest spoils.
I use to do this raid for fun. With a decent team it should take 1-2 hour with a great team it should barely take an hour. Good part is you can farm here as many times as you want so you dont have to wait for a whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ week !!!

It's not really viable. There is no local map, the map is quite large, finding the stuff to shoot to open the chests that is at x location that you also have to find, it's just way too much work. You would have to be actually insane to do this solo and then on 3 characters each week. Way too much work. I cleared the first encounter stuff solo, can find a few of the things to shoot, but it just takes way too much time.
Rather wait for it to become world drops.

It takes 5 minutes to reach the first hidden chest in Vow of the Disciple. If you reach it once with a friend, you can set them as party leader then rotate through all of your characters, joining them and opening the chest with your alts, then they can set you to leader and they rotate their characters through the instance.

If you want raid exotics, either raid and gain spoils that way, or farm them using the other methods that Bungie makes available.

I already have several 400 stat builds. So unless your saying that armor can go beyond 100 in any stat..
