whats a good solar LMG to go for

unfortunately there is that many but if you have Europa and have variks there is a solar lmg

Thermal Erosion is probably the easiest to get, that's the one from Europa. Just go kill the wandering High Value Targets (Brigs).

There's also Archon's Thunder, which you can get from Saladin during Iron Banner weeks.


That said, I strongly suggest looking at Planck's Stride and Retrofit Escapade. They're NOT Solar, but they can both be crafted. Xûr can carry either of them, watch and see what he has each week, and buy 5 when you see one of them. And then use Deepsight Harmonizers on them.

i am going to try to farm the one from Duality since it can get killing tally or firing line

If you have access to the Duality dungeon, you can also try farming for the Fixed Odds LMG from Caiatl encounter. Can roll Feeding Frenzy or Field Prep in 3rd slot and Incandescent in 4th slot (or Killing Tally if you for some reason don't want Incandescent on an add shredder)
