Right click Destiny 2 in your Library >> Properties >> Local Files >> Verify Integrity.
Sounds like something corrupted and this should repair the file(s).
If that doesn't fix it, consider deleting/or renaming the Destiny 2 folder located in the temp folder.
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp
Look for folder name "Destiny 2"
Change folder name to something like Destiny 2_backup or delete since windows does it after a while.
Launch the game and it all should be OK now.
I have been playing a ton since the last maintenance and no issues, mainly the strike playlist.
Example of bugs being inconsistent:
Game just releases and it runs like crap on one system but on another it runs like total garbage, but the systems have specs that are similar to eachother to a point where choosing one or another doesn't matter, and their windows installations are basically clean installs with proper clean installs of drivers.
