"returning" player questions season of the witch

so i bought lightfall on sale, despite my better judgement. its the love-hate relationship one has with bungie. whatever.
it came with season of the witch, did not know about that. and now i want to grind that out, more or less. im casual, mostly solo, never dungeon or raid.

altars of summoning is destroying me, there seems always to be that one player that runs towards the offering tables, puts the tier3 one in, and then we continue to wipe over and over. and in savathuns spire, it mostly feels as if noone knows what to do, despite having a the whole introductionary quest that explains all the mechanics pretty much good. i understood them, and i am by far not the saviest with destiny. its a chore to be honest. yesterday there were two in my team that did not know what to do with the ghosts once the lucent hive bosses were killed. baffling...

anyways, my questions, since this is the first season i "bought":

witches keys: is there a reliable way to farm for them? i know they do drop randomly from activities (ritual) and sometimes after the season activities, but is there a better way for the lazy casual? can they drop from normal lost sectors for example?

presage mission: love it, first time, great mission! since i pretty much do not own any crafting patterns for any of those wepons that drop there, how often can i repeat this mission per week to get the red border ones?

and finally, regarding power levels: whats the current power/pinnacle cap? im sitting at 1770ish, i do understand how this new scaling works for content, but what are the "caps", in a traditional sense? im assuming 1800 is pinnacle, since some activities have them?

Keys for seasonal activities are dropped from basically completing any activity. Ritual content, seasonal activities, raid encounters, etc. They basically exist as something you casually get while doing other things and then you can bring into the seasonal activities for more loot. There's not really any way to farm them per say besides just doing activities over and over (strikes are pretty popular for this).

The exotic mission rotator gives you a 100% chance of a red border drop for the first completion in a given week for both difficulties (so 1 for normal and 1 for legend). That being said you can also run the mission an infinity amount of times for drops that can drop as red-borders but they are no longer guaranteed after the first clear. Keep in mind that this is also a rotator so the presage mission is change to a different mission on weekly reset.

The current power cap is 1800, and the current pinnacle cap is 1810 (can only get to this cap through pinnacle rewards).

btw, i noticed a bunch of really annoying bugs.
for example, in wellspring (attack), the minibosses that drop the offering ball to lower the shield of the big bad at the end did not seem to spawn at some point.
then theres the issue in altars of summoning when the ui is seemingly stuck and there seems to be no progress at all, despite summoning waves, and killing the bosses.
in preservation i had to return to the entrance because the bog encounter did not seem to spawn
and so on. is this a current season issue or should i be prepared to encounter more of such?

you should be prepared for more i mean is destiny 2 but is nothing really game breaking so yeah
