Which expansions are necessary and relevant right now?

For a new player coming in, what exactly do I need to buy?

Witch Queen is a must have, the ability to craft things is insanely good. Followed by Beyond Light, and then Lightfall. In terms of the DLC Exotic Packs, Forsaken should be near the top of your list since it has a lot of really solid Exotics, the rest are ok.

Others might have other opinions, but the one thing I stand by is the Witch Queen DLC being really important.

Unlocking the Enclave is a part of the intro quest to the Witch Queen campaign. Crafting is free for all players!

WQ is definetly the best, light fall is current so one of those two if not both

Unlock Enclave are free,just WQ weapon are Pay walled.

for now,i suggest you just go play Witch queen campaign and try it out,and farm for the exotics,since Witch queen DLC are free to play for 3 days start from now.

ok gotcha, so i have WQ, then i just get Lightfall and Im good to go? I have WQ btw because i impulse bought one day, and never played the game lol! and what is the annual pass? Do i need that?

Lightfall is so you're up to date with the overarching story, along with new weapons, armor, and activities. The annual pass is access to the current, and future season passes, and all their respective playlists.

annual pass basically just gives you everything tied to the year of the expansion up untill the next one (TFS) so 4 seasons and 2 dungeons on top of the campaign and raid of the expansion

lightfall deluxe will get you the most stuff to do. you get the full lightfall dlc plus all four seasons this year, and two dungeons (one of which will release alongside the next season in about 3 months)

This ONLY if it's on sale. The base price for what it gave us is just, not worth it.

yea i guess. lightfall only had about as much content as a season so definitely try and catch a sale if you can
