That's bungie for you. You can never really but the perfect amount. They want you to buy the big ones on purpose that way you're left with silver. But not enough silver to actually buy anything.
Getting the 1000 pack is the only way you'll be able to get the skin

You can't, the whole system is a scam.

Can't, you need to do advanced calculus to figure out the optimal prices. Only hope is that they add a direct $1 - 100 silver conversion option.

Why do you hate money?

As JoshStrifeHayes would say: this is scummy MMO company tactics where you can't buy a specific amount of premium currency, and the items are not priced (in fake currency) to be easy to buy without leftover.

This is not an MMO tactic. It's an "any game that has a real-money currency" tactic. Fortnite was a pioneer, children crying for the mother's credit card at the requirement of needing 500 more V-bucks heralded the start of a new age.

It isn't Bungie, it's Microtransaction scum across the board.

Just say NO, If you want to spend your money, go buy a tree, plant it and enjoy outside. Be worth more in the long run. And you can use the tree for air, shade and maybe food later in life. A skin that is gone in a year or two is not worth it. Which you will barely notice while playing the game anyway. Your just giving money to a company that dos not care about you, just home much they can get out of your wallet. Don't be a Shill Sheep.

Or, maybe, perhaps, let people spend money on what they want? Because it does not harm anyone and they are having fun?

Back in 2003, Project Torque (on AG&E) was the same. I swore off free to play games after they shut that down and I added up how much I had spent. Made buying deluxe/annual pass expansions for this game look dirt cheap.

No, he's correct. Besides, spending money like this sends a signal to Bungie that we, as consumers, are fine with this (or too stupid to not notice the scam).

No, where one person thinks it is worth their money another may not think it is. You aren't forced to buy the things, yet you appear to be willing to prevent those who do from doing so. Vote with your money, you may be out voted but you don't have to buy.

I have never spent money on this game and felt like the money was wasted. EVER. Not a single DLC has disappointed me to the level where I wish I spent that money elsewhere, therefore the $80 annual pass is worth it. If you do not agree, wait for a sale, where it will then cost a fraction as much.
when did the topic change from buying silver for a skin to buying DLC or buying in general?

Your use of the word "preventing" is misleading. Attempting to persuade is more appropriate. (if we put that aside, I still can't see your point, for you aren't forced to kill people, but preventing those who do from doing so would be honourable. Besides, it only makes to sense to prevent someone from doing that which they are free and able to do as opposed to something which they have no other choice but doing it)

so I'll ask everyone reading this to refrain from purchasing silver for reasons stated below. I'll also mark this thread as answered and unsubscribe because my original post was answered and I never intended this to become a proper discussions thread.
