Thoughts on my next crafted exotic?

I have enough stuff to make Outbreak Perfected, which was the one I wanted next. Just checking before I do it what everyones thoughts are on it or if they have any must haves.

I already have the Ace of Spades and Dead Man's Tale. My favorite guns in the game though are auto rifles and SMGs... My personal fav is Hard Light. However, I don't have a a good pulse rifle and outbreak seems like a lot of fun.

Lmk thoughts. Unless there is something similar to Hard Light or some other must have I will prob role with Outbreak but since it takes HOURS to get these materials I just wanted to make sure.

Well, you already have a nice pulse rifle, it's called graviton lance. Outbreak is, well, it does a thing. You can kill mobs with it, and they'll spawn nanites that damage other enemies. Neat, I guess, but I personally haven't used it since Season of Opulence. I think the must have exotics are things like Le Monarque, Witherhoard, izanagi's burden and maybe Sleeper Simulant can come in handy sometimes. As for primary weapons, you already have Quicksilver storm, you don't need anything else.

But really, who cares? It's your resources, buy what you want, play with what you want, who cares about meta, the game is easy enough to play with anything. If something is suddenly needed, resources can always be farmed later.

Outbreak is a very, very solid option, especially if you can get the catalyst for it. It offers some of the highest damage output of any primary in the game, even more so if you have teammates that also have Outbreak on.

There are the "must have" weapons (Le Monarque, Witherhoard, Izanagi's Burden) that if you don't already have are definitely better options, but if already have those than Outbreak is a great next choice.

Next season, you will be able to obtain outbreak from the exotic mission rotator, if im not mistaken. So if the resources needed to buy it are hard to come by for you, as they often are for newer players, consider waiting to see how/when you'll be able to obtain it in a few weeks.

That said, outbreak is an excellent weapon that, while certainly not meta, can perform in all content and feels very satisfying to use

You are mistaken. Outbreak is from the Zero Hour mission, which is not returning next season. The missions that are returning are:
Presage (Dead Man's Tale)
Vox Obscura (Dead Messanger)
Seraph Station (Revision Zero)

It is entirely possible that Whisper, Outbreak, and Hawkmoon's missions will be added to this rotator and therefore be craftable, but it will not happen next season as far as we know.

For sure, it is debatably the best exotic mission. Newer players need to experience the Trevor hallways.

With all the movement tech we have now (especially Eager Edge) Trevor would be a mild inconvenience. We've power crept the architects.

Strand grapple would be hilarious. And inb4 someone figures how to slow trevor with Telesto and stasis because old game code lol

Yeah, Outbreak is now rolling with Kinetic Tremors, Desperado, & Target lock as 4th column perks.

But honestly Outbreak is probably the best option in the Kiosk right now, just as general "use everywhere" weapon. Although some tops picks besides what Kylito metioned:
- Ager's Scepter (if you have Stasis)
- Sleeper Stimulant
- Thorn

Outbeak perfected is a real good one to get if you don't have it. Just get that one don't look back if that was your first choice. There are 2 pretty good auto rifle that came out somewhat recently, Quicksilver storm and Centrifuse, 2 solid auto rifles imo.
Best auto rifle Reckless Oracle *cough*, Perpetualis too, both non exotic tho. I also really like that pistol that screams on last bullet, like some bird scream. That last bullet takes out a chunk of hp from target like no other weapon can.
