What all do you not have at the Exotic Kyosk? Because I can assure you, there are 10x better options than those two.

also i play casually and not tryhard
i would honestly rather have radical sniper shotgun than the meta

Nightfalls are the best way to get high level materials for most players. If you can't do those or don't have a group for those then using the currency exchange at Rahool would work better. You can get prisms as a solo players for the exchange from legend/master lost sectors.

id say legend and master lost sectors are fastest way to get asc shards as solo or with a friend
if you are quick you can do them in around 3 to 5 minutes max
and you get 1-2 enchantment prisms per run with 10 you can craft shard with them from rahool
another edit: todays lost sector is very easy
