this game isn't a classic mmorpg. there's no set bonuses in this game...
You can use Ghost mods to give your armor drops preference in certain stats, but otherwise it's pure RNG.
When you get an armor piece it will roll with certain stats in Mobility, Resilience, Recovery, Discipline, Intellect, and Strength. These stats are not based on anything, although the minimum value for each stat is 2.
Class items have no stats unless you Masterwork them.
It's entirely RNG, although can be nudged via Ghost mods.
For a more accessible and quick option, the current Solstice event has armor that can be focused into a certain stat with good rolls, great way to get some quick high-stat armor. Aside from that, as general rule harder content = better armor stats.
The intrinsic perks on certain armour sets are set bonuses in everything but name as they require you to wear specific gear and give you an increasing benefit based on how many pieces of the set you wear.
None of those bonuses are at all relevant to your characters build/role (with the exception of Artifice armour) but that doesn't change the fact we do have set bonuses.
though the stats dont seem to change much. just having random stats seems pretty much the same unless theres a way to get multiple 100s for certain builds, idk.
