Destiny 2
How do you even solo a grandmaster nightfalls?
I've tried so many builds that all *claim*they can solo grandmaster nightfalls but incant get them to work.

My favorite build is a combination blow arkstrider hunter, using tractor cannon and 1-2punch. Its a lit of fun and it's greatfor cleaning ads, and can take down most champions becides barrier really fast, but it's an in your face melee build with obvious drawbacks against bosses.

I'm frustrated that bungie locks all their endgame content behind things that cant be solo'd without EXTREMELY specific gimmicky builds and sweaty tryharding.

Well do u have liar's handshake? Because if u don't the build won't work.
Void hunter, high mobility, 90+ stat ranged weapons preferrably. Get's me thru solo nightfalls, master sectors. Im currently 20 levels below master.
Do quick sling for handcannons on unstoppables with max handling, small things like that makes solo stuff easier :
Some weapons with auto reload holster, works great on heavy weapons for clearing champs solo - If only two tailed fox could work with those reload perks. (doesnt for me idk why) Also learn benefits of stuff like font of wisdom, and contemplate build with 100 intellect so u can spend 9 tiers on just heavy ammo perks instead - stuff like that makes clearing content solo a lot easier. Works for me, and i dont have any dlc since forsaken.
The main problem with gm's is need to have the level. So never reach that to end of season if im playing a lot - lack of pinnacles/duplicates.

Assassin's Cowl is the new Liar's Handshake after the melee nerfs, although that comes from beating the Shadowkeep campaign. Intellect is a dead stat that you should never invest in, mods like Hands-On or Ashes To Assets do a LOT more as far as super regen goes.

If you recall the change, doing bullet damage boosts super regen. Tho i haven't paid attention to if any recent changes. I'm throwing back to back supers in nightfalls if orb's are generated. And i rarely see anyone else do that. But orb generation is the key. Anyhoo, don't like playing nades and melee all the time either.
But the take away from this should be to know the perk gains as i mentioned where some perks here does 30-60 stacks pending on armor charge etc. Which correctly then means you don't need to have high intellect, you can get the boost via armor charge perks or otherwise orb generation.
But it's all very finicky - the game could do more to explain the benefits of the perks in-game, think that would be nice for everyone. It's the same thing with range caps on ie shotguns etc.
You Should try Strand on Titan its so much fun and makes easy work for ad clear. Its my go to class now I was Thundercrash main before =)

This right here is the loser attitude. GMs and the like aren't meant to be soloed, but the ability to do so speaks to the flexibility of the games build system, and the skill of the players who do such things.

Suck it up and team up with people if you aren't good enough to do solo GMs, or go study some Esoterrick videos.

Dont you know who this game is for mate? It is for these people who play the game totally differently and at a level only you can dream of, Bungie obsssess about them, dream about them and tailor the game to them, so dont watch their feeds, that takes ther revenue away

I have no idea what you're talking about. This game isn't for anyone but whales. We all keep coming back because we're obsessed with the hope this universe maybe, just MAYBE, will finally get some love and attention to its story that it's truly capable of. Instead we get rushed half assed content over and over again.

If you want challenge, destiny 2 doesn't offer it at all. Witch Queen came VERY VERY close but there's 0 challenge in things like grandmaster nightfalls solo. It's a stupid achievement that you'd see on consoles that holds absolutely no true value to the player at all. You don't feel like you achieved anything, merely that your time was wasted trying to complete something that in the end was a disappointment just like the entirety of destiny's story up until this point.

Root of Nightmare was so easy that I was genuinely taken aback by it. My group isn't full of meta slaves and we consistently finish the entirety of it with NEW players mind you, in less than an hour. This isn't dickwaving because that's slow by speedrunning standards but for casuals that is absolutely RIDICULOUS. It's inconsequential and boring. Just like the majority of Destiny's options for players who want to challenge themselves. The only options that are out there are shock and ball torture for paltry " rewards " or (quite often) literally nothing.

It's not skill to stand behind cover ( since AI target tracking is scripted so that hunter dodges don't even DODGE anymore ) and spam the 1 thing that your build is focused on. I've done it time after time and it has 0 challenge attached to it. It's a gimmick, stop selling it like it's a skill thing it isn't. Anyone can do it with a smidge of patience and obnoxiously OP gimmicks. If I see one more witherhoard in a damage phase I'm going to vomit.
by beating it without dying

And thats why Root is objectively the easiest raid by a long shot?

Scourge of the Past/ VoG was/are easier but the point still stands.
i've never played scourge, but id argue that RoN is still easier than VoG.

In Root you need 4 people doing the mechanic in one of 4 encounters. in every other there is 2 or 3 people doing it. in a 6 man """""E N D G A M E""""" activity.

I mean, Gatekeepers and Atheon both require 4+ people to mechanically aware. But these raids are nearly a DECADE apart (technically) so they shouldn't even be comparable.
Doesn't the game- like, match you up with other players?

Not a GM. Need to LFG for that.
