A way to improve fishing?

Its tedious and boring. Blue and green fish literally offer nothing for you so why cant we sell them back for fishing credits that we can then spend of better bait or in true bungie fashion a quest that require us to repeat the seasonal activity 4 times before giving us the thing.
Fishing seem like a really half baked idea that they just throw in together and call it "content", warframe has a much better fishing system and economy and i enjoy catching fish in that game because they are not just worthless nft png, you can actualy build a fish tank out of them if you decide not to turn them into resource to craft weapon and that game is fckin free and the monetization some how seem less greedy than what bungie is doing.

honestly- its ♥♥♥♥, and i was fine just leaving people to enjoy it but not touching it myself
then bungie add a TIME GATED, RNG FISHING QUEST that you have to 3 TIMES to get the new exotic. thanks bungie for making d2 into a gacha game.
