The big question was if red borders for past seasons would drop. That proves its possible.
OK, cool, I expected it, but proof is a good thing.
At least for Ikelos weapons, don´t think I saw other old seasonal weapons as drop so far.
You could say the Ikelos V1.0.3 are seaonal, the V1.0.1 and V1.0.2 can't be crafted and the V1.0.3 came from season vendor and activities.
They were released for the Season of the Seraph, and they were available from the Seraph vendor.
Seasonal weapons within Destiny is a term that applied to a specific set of weapons released within a given season. For Seraph that was the stylised Foundry weapons like Disparity and Retrofit Escapde. The IKELOS weapons were available through the vendor but were also available to all players just like the Menagerie re-issues from Haunted, they were added to that season as they were thematically appropriate but as you noted are only really "seasonal" in when they released.
