Nightfall has always required DLC if the associated strike has been from a DLC.

Yeah, that's the way it's always been.

The Nightfall rotates on a weekly basis, you need to have the DLC that the Nightfall is drawn from or you can't run it (for that week).

They did this since destiny 1. This game is like this, and it's not devs that are dumb. It's all the people that keep buying this ♥♥♥♥. Devs are just bunch of lazy scum.

Ngl, Even if you dont own dlc, they should make an exception if u own the season pass or something, say just the strikes to atleast get nightfalls. Would be a good gesture for players, but its bungo so.. *shrug*

The gesture you're referring to is the Vanguard Ops playlist were all players can access all available strikes regardless of what content they own.

I like the changes to the Vanguard system but I don't like the way that this seasons Vanguards are last seasons Battlegrounds. BORING!!

Would you rather we only got ghe one new strike per expansion added to the playlist as that's the alternative and in that situation you'd be crying about lack of updates like all the crucible mains do.

No, I wouldn't. Don't try to read my mind. I would prefer the Vanguard the way it was. Battlegrounds are quite different, to my mind, and they should stay separate.

How exactly are Battlegrounds different from Strikes? Both are basically "Go from A to B with a few encounters in between and defeat a boss who has a few easy mechanics"
