Why Bungie have to force pve players to play pvp?
Seasonal Missions about pvp are just plain pain for a pve enjoyer such myself. Cant we just have an option if we want to do missions in pve or pvp, like what we already have with faction Bounties?

Oh, that's right, you're already past those forced quests, aren't you, and now you've forgotten all about them.

For several days now I have watched as the game keeps matching me with players who clearly have far better weapons, armor, skills and experience. That is, if I can even get a full complement of players before the process times out. I don't enjoy the matches, I keep getting the same two worthless "rare" rewards and the whole experience is utterly pointless both for myself and those unfortunate enough to find themselves on my team. I doubt even the opposing team finds it rewarding to stomp on players who clearly don't belong in a competitive game.

If they didn't force players to play PvP, there would be no PvP. As it is, they're clearly under the delusion that as long as people play, they must be enjoying themselves.

If you're talking the weekly seasonal challenges that give epx and bright dust then those are 100% optional. Only seasonal stuff that used to force you to do pvp are old seasonal exotic catalyst. Since witch queen that has been removed for new seasonal exotics however older ones such as witherhoard or Tommy's matchbook still require pvp to complete

Not really, the seasonal challenge aint ''optional'' if you buy the season, my simple question is why should i get tons of pain just cause of the 10 challengese 1 or 2 are pvp bs and the rest are solo player pve stuff.

Because they have always tried to force players into every aspect of the game like pinnacle drops for vanguard, crucible, gambit and so on. Usually In each week there is a challenge for X challenge in pvp that will give either exp, bright dust or something like a trials weapon. These challenges have no effect on seasonal story progression or triumph seal as far back as I can remember. Only those with story related significance or battle ground activity progress are required for upgrading the war table everything else is completely optional whether you choose to do so or not.

Done the weekly mayhem challenge.
It was easy to do, hard to enjoy the rest of the match.

Good luck with the struggle.

Not really, the seasonal challenge aint ''optional'' if you buy the season, my simple question is why should i get tons of pain just cause of the 10 challengese 1 or 2 are pvp bs and the rest are solo player pve stuff.

And how does that make any sense? Literally nothing makes them not optional. They give you xp and bright dust, that's usually it. Bright dust is only cosmetics and xp can be gained from hundreds of other sources. You certainly don't need either one.
You are right, but since we do have Gamble as pvpve experience i dont get why im forced to play the weekly pvp activities, cant they put options for gamble or pve just like the not necessary bounties?

If I do them, I have to potentially deal with frustration!! If I don't, I miss out on xp that I can get from doing anything else!!

If you really don't care about your own well being, and going off of this thread, you do not, by all means slog through optional seasonal challenges. You set yourself up.

No one is forcing you to do anything, the Crucible is very important in the lore, those are the training grounds for experienced Guardians.

This game has SBMM by the way so you'll get matched with players of your own skill.

Thus im obliged to play cause i bought the season pass and despite what you say, the seasonal challenges are a must especially for dust and exp for grind + randomic content and helping with the title challenges quota.
If only you were right about the matchmaking. Half of the games have premade sweatlords, the other half poor guys that just started to play on console (my experience).
Gamble on the other side its (still my experience) the most stable and balanced pvp experience you can get in destiny. Honestly i like destiny, i dont like to get insulted cause i owned or got own by an another guardian, hence (for me) the crucible is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ experience in destiny.

They are though. Specially with the stupid Catalyst quests. Tinccu's, Duality, Chaperone, ect.

Hey at least you don't have to do exotic quests that require a stupid number of guardian kills with a linear fusion rifle..... thanks Lorentz Driver.....

it is 100% optional just like the choice to buy the season. Getting the season achievement is not required. you are making a choice to go after it. also why is it wrong for a developer to want players to engage in all of their content.
