Destiny 2

Voir les stats:
Im confused and need some tips.
So im pretty new to Destiny 2 and played a few hours.
I don't understand the weapon system at all.
In the beginning i could pick up any gun i liked and it did its job.
Now i reached 1750, took a shotgun and it does nothing but use special ammo.
Its super frustrating and demotivating me to play this game.
Could anyone explain me how this weapon system works?
Do i need to save a good weapon of every power thingy? Like solar, void, arc and what not?

Another problem im facing is the stupid keybinds, im playing this "build" where u can throw ur knifes and it resets the cooldown (if u kill someone with the knifes), but as soon as something gets close to me i do a meele instead of the ability >.< , is there a setting or something i can change to prevent this from happening?

i feel really discouraged right now and could need some tips and tricks.
if it helps im doing the campaign right now (lightfall).

Thanks and i tried the offical bungie guides but im still clueless :nkError:

You have three weapon slots:

Kinetic: This slot used to be only Kinetic weapons (those with no element at all) but now includes Stasis weapons (and Strand, not sure honestly, haven't used any yet).

Energy: All the weapons in this slot will have an elemental component, Arc, Solar, Void.

Power: All the weapons in this slot will be "heavies" they can have any elemental component.

Further compounding the issue is the ammo type.

Primary: These weapons use "white/common" ammo. Primary ammo is unlimited.
Auto Rifles, SMGs, Side Arms, Hand Cannons and Scout Rifles use Primary ammo (mostly, there are some exceptions).

Special: These weapons use "green/Special" ammo. Special ammo is limited. You can equip a mod in your helm that will increase the amount of drops you get for Special Ammo. Shotguns, Trace Rifles, Grenade Launchers, Glaives and Fusion weapons use Special Ammo.

Power: These weapons use "purple/Power" ammo. Power ammo is limited. You can equip a mod in your helm that will increase the amount of drops you get for Power ammo. Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers, Heavy Grenade Launchers, Linear Fusion Rifles and Swords all use Power ammo.

On top of all that you have Light Level. Light Level is the difficulty gauge and impacts how much damage you do, and how much you take. Pushing up your light level is part of the process of playing the game.

On top of that: Weapons have perks. Right click on a weapon to see it's perks and read about what they do. Because of how the perks work, two otherwise identical weapons will not perform identically.

The community has opinions on which perks are good and which aren't. If you find a weapon that has good perks that work for you, you'll want to keep it, and upgrade its light level, carrying it forward into new content.

Two quick ways to check the value of individual drops:

Light.gg this is a huge database of game equipment, and it will show you what perks the community thinks are good.

DIM: DIM is a companion app that has a built in, curated wishlist. You can use it to quickly check if a given example of a weapon is a good roll or not.

DIM (and others) can be found here: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/registration/apps

Builds and spec:

Open your character menu, click on the big colored icon at the upper left. That's whatever sub-class you're using. In that, you can adjust which melee attack you're using. It sounds like you're using Solar, with a thrown knife attack. So, yeah, that works at range, but if someone is in melee range, you won't do a thrown attack.

You might want to try an Arc build instead.

Honestly, ... a post like this isn't the best place to get into explaining how subclasses work.

hmm... maybe take a look at this instead: https://youtu.be/3MLxu7DwBu8?t=241

Each element of shields is has a different appearance matching the themeing of the element it's assigned to. You can also just shoot it with something and if you see red italic numbers, it's the wrong element for it.

Blue is arc shield, purple is void shield, orange is solar shield, green is strand shield. I don't think there are any stasis shields?

Basically match the colors for a damage boost against that shield type, and by taking down the shield with the right type, you will get a small elemental explosion of that type which does a bit of area of effect damage (which is great in a group of shielded enemies as it can chain and take out all of their shields)

Then you'll want to switch to a kinetic slot weapon because you'll have a slight damage buff to the health of the enemy as well :)

Long story short, your abilities are just as useful as your weapons, don't forget your grenades and your melee abilities.

Some enemies have shields. You have to watch the color.
The Eliksni (Fallen) tend to have Arc shields. Those are bluish.
The Vex tend to have Void shields, those are purple.
The Hive tend to have Solar shields, those are orange.
The Cabal frequently use Solar shields, but can also use Void shields.
The Taken and the Scorn tend to use mixed shield types.

And ... in every grouping, you'll occasionally find individual enemies that use a different shield type.

If you attack a shield with the correct weapon type, you'll break it more easily. Some weapons can spawn with an Adaptive perk which will let them handle off-type shields better. But no matter what you do, sometimes you'll end up facing an enemy that has a shield type that you don't have the right counter for (at least not equipped).

It is thus advantageous to carry multiple types of weapons. Given the way bounties work, you'll also need different types of weapons at different times. Today, you might need an Auto Rifle and a Hand Cannon, tomorrow you might need a Fusion gun and a Scout Rifle.

The overall type impacts performance as well.
Snipers are extreme range weapons, they have small ammo pools and use Special ammo.
Scout Rifles are long range, they have infinite ammo pools and use Primary ammo, but can be weak up close.
Pulse Rifles are slightly shorter range than Scouts, they fire bursts and can be better up close than a Scout while still being effective at longer ranges.
Auto Rifles are full auto, have deep magazines, high stability and are good at medium to long range.
SMGs produce blistering amounts of firepower, but are (relatively) shorter range.
Hand Cannons have a huge punch, but crappy sights and only moderate stability.
Side Arms are more accurate, but have less punch.
Shotguns are devastating up close, but use Special ammo and reload slowly.
Trace Rifles fire a beam, they have one of the deepest ammo pools for any Special Ammo weapon.
Fusion Rifles are ... well ... a lot like Shotguns really. They hit hard, but have a charge-up time and use Special ammo.
Grenade Launchers are ... variable. They're kind of like Shotguns too, only they have an arcing shot.
Glaives are a melee weapon that can be a shield, or a shotgun too. They're weird, but they can be effective.

Linear Fusion Rifles are the Power weapon version of Snipers. Long range, small ammo pool.
Rocket Launchers are extremely powerful, buuuut you've got to hit with them.
Heavy Grenade Launchers ... well ... I don't care for them myself.
Swords are great, deep ammo pools, huge damage, but they're melee weapons, so very close range.
Machine Guns are good, deep ammo pools, long range, but slow reload times.

Yes, it's a lot to remember, and also yes, you could argue that it's unneeded complexity, but ... that's the game. It's only likely to get MORE complex over time, not less.

Personally, I have favorite weapons and favorite types. And ... which weapons I prefer vary depending on what I'm doing.

If I'm running a Legendary Lost Sector, I'm a lot more likely to be using a Scout or a Pulse Rifle.

If I'm doing PvP, I'm more likely to be using a Grenade Launcher (specifically the Witherhoard, an Exotic Grenade Launcher).

i read through and dont think anyone has gone over it yet but there are also power caps for the varying loot items and youll have to complete challenges to keep getting more powerful gear. when you hover over the different activities such as crucible gambit and vanguard you will see challenges and weekly challenges for powerful and pinnacle gear, pinnacle being the highest lightlevel to keep you going complete those and itll drop randomized gear for you make sure you stock up on enhancement cores and upgrade modules to keep bringing the light level into your good gear if you need more help i have no problem guiding you through and helping as well just shoot a message over

For legendary Strand weapons we currently have two auto rifles (season and raid), two subs (Neomuna and trials) a handcannon, a machinegun and a sniper (all from Neomuna) and a sidearm and heavy grenade launcher (both from the raid). We then have Quicksilver Storm and Final.Warninb for exotics.

You mean a Legendary? Or an Exotic? Legendaries are Purple. Exotics are Gold/Yellow.

Technically, Exotics are better, but each one also does something special, and which Exotic is right for you varies based on how you play. It's a personal preference thing, you'll have to try them out and see if you like them.

I suggest that you make your way to the Tower, and talk to Banshee-44 (the Weaponsmith) he offers 4 bounties a day. (You can buy additional bounties, but they're much more expensive). If you complete 8 bounties for him in a week, you get an extra reward from him. Doing bounties for him also gives you Reputation with him, And each rank-up also gives you an item of loot. Try to do his bounties every day.

What sort of weapon should you go for? That really depends on how you like to play. Do you like to stand off and shoot? Do you like to get up close? Do you prefer medium ranges?

If you like to stand off and shoot, try a Scout Rifle. The Staccato-46 is a Solar Scout Rifle that's pretty good. Look for one that has Incandescent (or perhaps Explosive Payload) on it.

If you like to be up close, then a Glaive or a Sword might be more your speed. Banshee-44 is selling the Judgment of Kelgorath this week, which is a (Kinetic) Glaive. He also has a class based sword. (Quickfang for Hunters).

If you prefer medium ranges, then an Auto Rifle or an SMG might be what you want. The Krait is a Stasis Auto Rifle that I like a lot, I suggest looking for one with Headstone on it. For SMGs, the Funnelweb is considered pretty strong (although I don't use one much myself (but that's because I have other, older weapons I like better, I'm not suggesting those because they'd be a lot harder for you to get)).

Also, be sure to check the Season Pass (Escape->Directory->Season Pass), if you get up to about level 35ish, there's an Exotic Bow you can get that's available to everyone (even if you don't own the pass).

Also, be sure to check Xur every weekend. He's a travelling vendor who sells interesting stuff, and each week he carries 7 different Legendary weapons. You can figure out where he is by checking the front page of Light.gg, that'll also show you a rating on each item.

Glaives are energy, even if we did have a special ammo Stasis/Strand variant in the kineti slot it would still be energy.

Is it? Hmm... okay, fair enough. I really haven't used that particular one, but I wanted to suggest something that was currently available.

Yeah, it's solar, but ever glaive has the kinetic melee combo that does count for kinetic things
Kinetic use White Ammo
Special use Green Ammo
Power use Purple Ammo

You need to use all of them at your current stage of progress.

I'm unsure if you're playing the Legendary or Normal campaign, I would recommend running Void, some fragments are very strong such as overshield on enemy kill, increased duration for invisibility, devour and overshield, it's very easy to pick up and very forgiving since you are invisible after every kill, so if you are still learning it will be easier for you, play with your build and experiment with dodges, they can reload automatically your weapon and get you invisible.

Mods are the most important part of your arsenal, you get free 5 armor slots blue items during the campaign, equip them and put all mods you see, I could explain you which ones are the best or which ones you should use but to be honest they're very simple and it won't hurt you to just try the ones you think may be good, experiment and try different mods but make sure you ALWAYS equip mods on your armor and weapons, these are crucial.

Stats shouldn't be your worries right now, but they will be anytime soon, so make sure you level up your ghost and use the mods to focus Resilience armor, it's the third mod slot, just below Increase Glimmer drop Mods, since you're running Hunter I'd suggest you to go for Resilience, Discipline and then either Recovery or Mobility, to be honest every one has their own preferences for the last ones but Resilient and Discipline and Recovery are in my opinion the most important, other players don't even run Recovery, depends on you.

It may be overwhelming but don't worry, just keep any pieces over 60 that you get and head to D2 Armor Picker, it will automatically find the best possible combinations of gear that you have for the stats that you want, if you want 100 Resilience and 90 Discipline, it will automatically find which gear is capable of that inside your vault or character before and after upgrading so you can know beforehand if it's worth it to invest in some pieces.

Also the current artifact (below your ghost) has very good mods for Void, such as Volatile Rounds, Void Surge, more chances to drop purple ammo, ect...

You may not have it if you haven't done the quest for it but I'm sure you did if you're already in the campaign.

You should always keep good weapons of any kind, you have lots of space in your vault for that, if you aren't sure what perks are good but you feel that the weapon itself is solid then just keep all the rolls you get until you eventually learn which ones are the best for that specific weapon, you don't need guides for that just common sense and a bit of experience so don't feel pressed, it's kind of obvious when a weapon is very good compared to others.

You can change your keybinds under these three settings:

Auto Melee
Charged Melee
Uncharged Melee

I would advise simply using Auto Melee and assign Charged melee to another keybind just in case but I personally just use Auto Melee.
Lasagna a écrit :
Kinetic use White Ammo
Special use Green Ammo
Power use Purple Ammo

This is completely incorrect. Kinetic (top), Energy (middle) and Power (bottom) are weapon slots whilst Primary (white), Special (green) and Heavy (purple) are ammo types. The kinetic and Energy slots have weapons that use use both primary and special ammo whilst all weapons tin the Power slot use heavy ammo.
