How do I get ascendant shards as a solo player?

I mostly play this game solo so what's the best, if any, way to grind for ascendant shards?

you can do the ritual playlists: vanguard, crucible, gambit as well as the seasonal activity (i think). each gives you a shard at lvl 16
time intensive, but guaranteed
other than that: buy from rahool (expensive)
also season pass gives you 3 i think

Mainly rankups on each vendor, even the 2nd rankup by using your prisms to upgrade into a shard, then using your cores to buy the prisms you need instead, Crucible/Gambit gear dismantling the hard/low fun/ grindy way.

Another way is to set Ascendant Prisms as drop on your Ghost (if you have it),
they drop alot in Vanguard Strikes, more than upgrade modules (from ghost).
Nightfalls also tend to drop several.
Then craft Shards from the Prisms.

vendor rank ups to 16, using enhancement cores you get from activities/matterweave etc to buy prisms, and 10 prisms are needed for 1 ascendant shard, those are easiest but you can also do master and grandmaster (grandmaster difficulty isnt available rn) nightfalls for materials to craft/buy shards.
