Fix this bug already

Even after hours playing session i see almost all people in the Cruicible like a glass people - i really try see them and it's very hard tracking them...

Thank you for your report. Bungie is aware that this is occurring and they are currently investigating.

To help alleviate this issue, please try clearing your cache.


1. Restart your computer and launch Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

IRON BANNER DATE CHANGE
Hey Guardians! This is the spot where we were going to do a big writeup about Iron Banner next week and get you all excited for the first one of the year. That writeup is still coming in a future TWAB, but for now, we have an update to share that we think will result in a better experience for everyone.

You know that annoying bug we have had since the launch of Lightfall, where after playing enough Crucible (or strikes, or Gambit, or anything with a Commendations screen), all the other Guardians, and sometimes you, can disappear? Well, the fix is scheduled to go live on March 16—two days after the start of Iron Banner. And we don't want to have our premiere Iron Banner start off with two days of invisible Guardians—or everyone playing Iron Banner restarting Destiny 2 every hour. So, we’re making the tough decision to delay Iron Banner a week.

I read directly on the bungie forums that there are two things that they have found that trigger the invisible player glitch.

During a Crucible:
1. Changing your gear during the current match can trigger it for the next match.
2. Interacting with the commendation menu after the match can trigger it on the next match.

You can sit there for hours and try to fix it the way steam wants you to fix it...which it WON'T fix this bug...or you can just not do those things during a match.

I have noticed that interacting with the commendation screen and giving commendations has the highest chance of causing it.

The other thing I notice that increases the rate at which it happens is doing Dares of Eternity THEN doing crucible and interacting with the commendation screen.

TLDR: Just don't give commendations right now until this is fixed. Ever since ive stopped giving commendations I haven't gotten the invisible glitch a SINGLE time.

I think that's called invisibility, hunters can use that a lot, and it can be very annoying!!!

Here are a few tips to improve your experience:
1. Squint really hard
2. Get some strong reading glasses
3. Git gud

Thank you for reporting this issue, I will do my best to exterminate every hunter main who hard crutches invis and pretends to be good because of it!

I just came back to the game since Beyond Light and I legit thought I missed a new meta at first. It was really hard aiming at all these OP invisible players lol. Glad I found out how to actually avoid the issue instead of the typical clear cache and check file integrity "fix". Restarting the game rectifies the glitch, so you don't even need to clear the cache.
