Where are weapon mods?

I just started playng and I see on armor I can literally chose between 20 different mods.
I already have them.
I read that they enabled that with a recent patch.
But when I look at all my weapons not ONE has any mod to chose.
Weaponsmith or AD-1 do not provide or sell me any mods. yet!?
Do I need to unlock something or where do I get my weapon mods!?
Please help!

Mods for the slot on weapons should come from doing Bounties for Banshee-44. Some seasons he has sold them, but I don't think he is at present. Regardless, if you're missing Weapon mods, do more bounties for him.

Hmmm so nobody knows 100%? Like do I need to have a certain level with him and then they ALL pop up, or do just a couple show up and I need to buy them as I level up!?

What journey rank are you? It all comes from there?

Right click on the weapon and look down at the bottom. There will be a bunch of boxes with icons. Hover over them for the description. Unless it's changed since Tuesday.

Not a single weapon has mods. Not one!
I checked them all.
I am Rank 8 Gunsmith.

I am Level 47 in the season. What does give me mods now!?

There aren't any weapons mods for Exotics, at least in my experience.

ok, good to know but my problem is still there, I only have 1 mod for all my other weaopns that are blue or purple. ONE!
I would buy them from Gunsmith but I am rank8 with him and he does not show any mods for me.

What guardian rank are you? I noticed in rank 6 there is a weapon masterwork challenge that lists unlocking weapon mods.

ok maybe I have not payed attention to that. I must take a look next time I go online. Thanks for bringing that up.
