ashes to assets with threadlings?

i wanna know if the mod works with the threadlings from a consumed grenade on warlock

to my understanding from a few videos:
the grenade kill mods only work when you throw the threadling grenade and only at the initial point of impact (there is a small detonation when the single orb splits into three), the threadlings themselves aren't classed as grenade damage.

however using a Grapple swing melee kill is classed as BOTH Melee and Grenade kill supposedly, haven't tested that myself yet.

Threadling kills will proc ashes to assets and firepower etc only if the threadlings originate from a thrown grenade. So the consumed grenade threadlings from mindspun invocation will NOT trigger these mods, you must throw the grenade.
