Legendary Campaign is a Nightmare (Rant)
This is a rant.

Is anyone else having a severe issue trying to complete the last two missions on legendary? its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare. There's too many ads and not enough cover to regen your health in time before you get tagged again, not to mention even the normal redbars 5 tap you.

Don't even get me started on that horrible rotating vex wall of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the second to last mission, that's the dumbest level design ever. The Calus fight is is good design though, except fot the fact that theres 0 cover from ads like the previous mission too.

The worst part of the rotating wall. You dont even have to touch it for it to hurt you... when you get the boss low 3-4 mino's come out. Honestly the worst part is how far away the check point is honestly.

99% of the posts on launch day were that it was too easy. (I dont own the xpac, just the season pass, so I personally don't have experience with it, but everybody claimed it was IMMENSELY easier than WQ, which I breezed through)

so i duoed it with my 5 year old son he was a hunter and i was the best class in the game a warlock . Solo is easier but when you have two people it gets really hard. Hone your skills and practice the encounter. you will know you are there when you get close to a 5 year old killing things in a timely fashion with no mods just dodge type gameplay.

I finished this morning doing solo legendary, there's a couple of tricks you can use to get passed the last two levels. The second last one with the room and the spinning wall you can hide behind the door on the far right side of the room, ADS cant get you and neither can the boss, just shoot through the door.

For the final mission and final boss you can hide under the stairs behind the rally flag and neither the tormentors or the boss can shoot you. Once he moves to phase two you can use the strand ability to swing yourself on top of the sphere and just sit above the dome shooting down at him.

I can show you if you like, just add me and send me a message

I had the same problem, last mission was crazy difficult. Then I realized that I was using strand hunter which has basically no survivability (without aspects, which you haven't unlocked yet). So, I avoided using strand and just used my gyrfalcon's invis build and got it done first try.
One suggestion, use Arbelest. It one-shots Calus' strand shield and is also great for the precision spots of Tormentors.

I didn't find myself struggling at all during any part of the campaign. During the Calus's final phase, I just grappled around and kept on shooting witherhoard at him until he was dead.

There is a video called "Easy Calus Boss Cheese" made by Esoterickk, you can try that. Worked for me.

It was pretty terrible, I agree. I did it, but yes it was an absolute chore getting through legendary. The absolute lackluster story/writing for the 20 minute campaign was HEAVILY padded by absurd difficulty/stupid mechanics. Can't believe I spent money on this.

The entire campaign was actually not really that hard on legendary compared to witch queen, the only times where i did struggle was on the downfall mission in that big open room where you need to pick up 2 cores and dunk them at those totems (Or whatever they were) across the map. And on the calus fight with how everything get's flung at you non stop, i got annoyed by the second phase of that fight so i ended up looking for 2 other players and cleared the mission that way... For some reason, the calus fight felt much easier with 2 others compared to solo.

For the rotating wall part there is a platform in one of the corners where you can stand just out of reach of the lasers

Funnily enough, I didn't have a problem with the second-to-last mission. The idea is to always stay behind the wall, focus down the adds and occasionally poke at the boss.

The final boss in the final mission, however? Now that's truly a nightmare. Too many adds, nowhere to hide, places you can run to will often be bombarded by hazards, and the boss can 1shot you in their second phase. Compared to every other mission prior, it's grotesquely overtuned.

lightfall is so easy compared to witch queen. come on man!!
