Preservation Mission icon missing

I'll try this here since the mods on Reddit apparently don't want new people in the community.

I've recently started playing D2 again on PS4 and have just finished the Witch Queen campaign. I picked up the Report:Pyramid-Inspect quest from the Evidence Board, but there is no icon for the Preservation mission anywhere on the map.

I've looked online and seen this is a bug that's been around for a while, so I've tried logging out and back in, changing characters and rebooting the game but nothing has fixed it.

Does anyone know of any other ways to fix it or is the mission just unplayable?

I would try to abandon the quest (it should be in the quest archive or on the board after that) or joining someone who has the mission available.

I've abandoned the quest and picked it up again but no luck.

I also saw online that its related to the Vow of the Disciple raid, do I have to do the raid first to make the mission available or should it still show up?

Hi there!

No, it was tied to the day one completion of the raid. Once the raid was completed, everyone was able to access the mission.

Since your power level has since changed, please check to make sure that you are near the soft cap for Lightfall. This should be near 1780.

Edit: Just looked with my Titan that is still at 1600 and it's still there.

my Hunter is at 1760 but is still doesn't show up, its annoying cos its the last Evidence Board quest I need to do to unlock the Reverse-Lure quest

I think you have to complete the Witch Queen campaign to get it.

I ran into the same issue. I just now did the WQ campaign and picked up these missions a few days ago. I finally got around to doing this one and realized the Preservation mission never showed up on the map for me. Sometimes when you try to track it there is even an error message that pops up saying the location isn't in this area. Clearly there is something very wrong with that mission because I have seen reports of it not working for people dating back to the launch of WQ over a year ago. I've also encountered a host of other bugs related to WQ and frankly if they haven't been fixed this long I highly doubt they will ever get fixed and certainly not rn because of the hot mess that was the Lightfall launch with all of it's bugs.

I have the same issue. Just finished WQ campaign, picked up this quest but no mark on map. I abaonded it and picked it up again and still nothing. When you click to track the little marker appears over throne world planet buit when going into the map nothing.

I think everyone that is having this issue should go to Bungies site and post in their help section for this game. Better yet, pester them on Twitter.
