Loadout option is nearly useless
I've not looked up any new content before the Lightfall so this may have been explained before, but loadouts suck.

You can only determine your current equipped weapons and armor, and their mods. Which seems cool and intuitive but DIM and other loadout managers do this for years, and they also allow you to switch out the whole inventory including ghosts, vehicles, everything.

So Bungie took how many years is Destiny 2 out now? 10 years? They took a long time to realize that adding a loadout option would be a good thing and then just include a useless baby loadout option, good job guys.

Ah yes because it's so important I switch my ship or sparrow when changing loadouts

You are missing the point, other loadout managers does more than what Bungies one does.....though ultimately, its not so vital, but its the principle.

The point is that the in-game loadouts aren't dependent on the API and as such allow you to change loadouts at the press of a button even when mid activity which is something nine of the third party tools can do.

There are occasions where which ship/sparrow you're using may be a factor.

? Your ship has no bearing on gameplay, its cosmetic through n through.

Sparrow tho diff story. But once your using always on time its hard to pick any other exotic sparrow.

If you have AoT it'll always be on if you switch it off you're an idiot and your ship doesn't mean jack lmao

One of the Dawning ships generates extra event resources, one of the Dawning sparrows drops glimmer. The may not be significant factors but there are still instances where you may want certain ones for reasons other than appearance.

These guys getting hung up on "ships and sparrows" when the real point was that you can pack your inventory full of things and save that as a loadout, versus bungie only allowing the currently equipped weapons to be saved, which is a huge difference.

God forbid I want a different loadout for PVP and PVE.

And even more importantly, you can select what you DONT want changed. For example you ONLY want to change your armour but dont want to ♥♥♥♥ with your weapons or vise versa. Especially now that changing exotic armour steals yours super, swapping weapon loadouts is dangerous unless your armour always remains exactly the same. It's utterly worthless

Changing out subclass/armor/mods/weapons on the fly? Yes please, and thank you Bungie.
Works for me.

That energy penalty only applies to Trials and Competitive Division.
