You have to be joking. I did my second character run solo on normal and Calus died in like 10 seconds.

If it's just too difficult, use the cheese method where you hide under the stairs and shoot him from cover.

You can solo 5-6 shot him with any super, really... on normal is too easy.

I solo'd him in normal x2 with ease, he's super squishy....
Legendary version however.... way to many cheap BS tricks to instant kill you >.>

It took me 10 tries to defeat Calus on Legfendary on my titan. Tried 15x with my Warlock and got tired of so I switch difficulty to Normal and went through it in a single encounter.

I didn't find Calus as the issue on both solo and group. What I found annoying was being tossed around like a rag doll by the cabal mobs outside of the stage too many times to count. Calus is tanky, but I wouldn't consider him as fast.

Sounds like the OP is a new player. Calus fight is very hard even on normal for a solo NEW player with the type of gear and (random build) he'll have. It is overtuned for this type of player for sure, despite what the vet players (using actual builds and exotics to make them far more powerful) here condescendingly say.

That could be. Always forget that. With bad weapons and borderline "decent" armor and mod setups, it's more a legendary fight than normal.

I just hate how cheesy the fights are now. Every time I die on a boss it's never to not being able to survive the damage or kill fast enough, it's always a cheesy thing that causes me to be blown off the map. On Calus it was that mess where he dampens your powers, it would inevitably happen soon as I jump in the air, then I drift off the platform or it was when I was gliding over a gap and down I go. That was literally the only times I died fighting him.

Same thing on that second boss in the vexcalibur mission, one of those vex that jump and slam down next to you and knock you back. They magically spawn in off screen, out of sight, then do that crap and I never even see it coming, pop me right off.

That kind of stuff is just cheesy and annoying. Thing is that's all they can do to create "challenge" as the AI in this game is garbage, so they have to jack up the number of units, jack up the health pools, jack up the damage output to try and make it harder. Then they add a bunch of cheesy nonsense to kick it up another notch.

When will people realize that challenging doesnt mean good content though.
