First contact Lightfall mission is impossible to complete

Hi

I'm returning player with light 1620. Been stuck at First Contact mission for hours, since it's just impossible to continue. Difficulty is way too high and no matter what i do i keep getting killed and can't even respawn :(

Also sound is bugged, can't hear any ingame sounds after dying for hours :(.

Bruh if my skilless ass managed to do it on legendary while being 1600 without dying then so can basically anyone.

Its not impossible. I took me 3 attempts and there are some iffy mechanics like when the guy grabs you. You just got to keep your distance. Keep going youll get it. I was 1611

I was at this really dark place where boss suddenly spawned. I keep damaging boss and after a while adds appear everywhere, nowhere to hide and then you just die.

the very fact you could do it on legend difficulty, means you are NOT a skilless ass. lol

My brother couldn't do it, he is miles better than me, but i was able to do it.....but i fail to see the point in doing story content at the highest setting, the rewards are NOT worth the hassle.

I'm really annoyed and fed up by this so called 'rewarding difficulty' B. is so hung up on, especially in mediocre story/seasonal missions where it has no business. Keep this nerf-player-buff-enemies crap in GM's and what not. It's not hard or difficult, it's just another artificially timewasting chore to complete things without a reward that's comparable to the time invested. Not a challenge. Nothing rewarding about it. Just another unimaginative and lazy chore-mechanic.

As a lapsed and - trying to - return player - I steamroller over everything to get to this boss fight and then get instakilled. after an hour of being instakilled, its not fun any more its just irritating. Thats not conducive to wanting to stick around and spend money. just saying.

there is an experience/frustration shared and you can't do much other than tickle yourself.

have you applied the new armour mods?
whats your spec like?
Checking out a few youtube videos around specs for whatever class your using and the new mods can rapidly improve your surviveability.

although ive quit here i snagged it on playstation recently so went up through the content (experimenting to see if the connection issues might actually be better through playstation over steam) anyhow ya, i had similar experience coming off a fresh new toon. indeed i was able to whoop the boss after a week of grinding other content and gearing up for it. cosmodrome, risk runner. its also one of those strange pockets where if you are advanced level with an existing toon, it could happen that your build is ineffective vs the content and how things have changed for seasonal mechanics and base changes to game. especially since the content will put a ceiling on your power level or hold you like some odd points under. if you go play the other content you can unlock the seasonal artifact im sure to mitigate some of the more frustrating points.
i agree the last fight there is bad but is set to be mitigatable by efficient and consistent use of tangle so he cant touch you, thats my advice.

If you're having trouble...go into a few strikes (they're capped at 1620 light) get some new gear, and go back in, you'll be overleveled and you'll hit harder

Also the mod system is entirely overhauled so be careful of how your mods are set up in your armor

Search youtube for a good build to get max dps and healing.
A good build as about 70% of the game for me.

How can you say it's "impossible to complete" when millions have completed it? I did it solo on legend and did not even notice anything remotely hard... So 100% possible, and in fact- easy.
