People worried about hard drive space/how much space the update will hog.

It's a complete reinstall of the entire client. The Lightfall Expansion won't add 80GB on to your already 80GB Destiny 2 folder, but it's replacing A LOT of things.

However, when it is installing, the storage requirements will be tremendous. So, if you need the space, start freeing up stuff now.

i can confirm that this is incorrect information. it did eat the extra space on my ssd. in total around 170gb

Well it will replace the Destiny 2 install after installing it. BUt while downloading your going to need 83GB of free space to put the download on it seems.

Mine's sitting at a nice 87.0GB post update. It's looking like a 'you' problem.
