Schism mission won't let me progress please help

I'm coming back to destiny after a long break and decided to start from scratch, i created a new character and the schism mission is broken, it has no enemies and at the part where you're supposed to find maeve there's nothing there and after a while the game kicks me to orbit with the error code cabbage. I've already tried everything that bungie says will help with this error but it still didn't work. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have a fix? Any help is appreciated.

Apparently my router was the issue, older Thomson or Technicolor routers can mess up Destiny 2. I fixed the problem by following this guide.

I don't know what might be causing the issue for you but this fixed it for me, hope it helps.

Dont speedrun. Instead go back to the room with the arc lightning and wait for objective to update and then proceed.
