Black screen EVERY time I try to start the game

I've been playing >600h on my PC up until the release of the latest DLC which I did not play. When I try to launch the game now the screen just goes black and no sound. I've reinstalled the game, made sure drivers and Windows 11 are up-to-date, but nothing helps.
Surely others have had this problem so I'm hoping to get some help here, thanks!

Um ... for me, it does the same thing.

But if I click on the screen, the game minimizes (I don't recall if it's a right-click or a left-click, try both). If I then click back into the game it loads normally. And no, of course it's not supposed to do that, but it's quite consistent, and it works fine other than that one little quirk at startup.

So, give that a try.
