Does this game screen tear no matter what settings you have?
This is the ONLY game I have that shows noticeable screen tearing.

I tried this game on a 3080 with a i7-12700KF and even tried it on my 4090 with a i9-13900k while playing on a 55 inch LG OLED G2 Series (OLED55G2) that runs 4K at 120 FPS. No matter which graphics card settings I picked the screen would either tear or ripple (blurred lines running where tears normally appear).

I also have a XBox Series X and PS5...I doubt Destiny 2 will screen tear on those consoles. After all consoles are the master race. What is the point in spending around $4,000 on a PC....when a $500 console doesn't show the massive screen tears?

Things that I have tried to fix the issue:
- Changing the Resolution from 4k to 2k
- Going into NVIDIA control panel and forcing VSYNC for Destiny 2
- Changing to windowed, windowed fullscreen, fullscreen and borderless window
- Updating driver

Does your monitor support Gsync? Have you tried a 3rd party software to cap your fps? Rivatuner has a built in FPS capping option which I've personally used for years now without a single issue.

Screen tearing broken down to the most simplest cause is your system pushing higher FPS than your monitor is capable of, you're essentially getting overlapping frames which you will see as visible 'tearing'.

Best bet is to try capping with a 3rd party software or with the Nvidia control panel. Cap it at your panels refresh rate or one or two frames under.

The problem is the game engine itself. It is a PC port of Bungies 17+ year old version of Unreal 1 built for and optimized to run on consoles.
It isn't built to support all the bells and whistles of modern GFX cards and actually runs better on older cards.

I thought it was only me, set to cap at 55 fps and that seems to have solved it.

Buy AMD?

He just wants to show off that's all...
I mean why would you play on a TV connected to a PC? Console master race couch potatoes meant to play on TV, with your specs I rather buy a nice and expensive ultrawide gaming monitor.

I myself use a Sony KD-75XG9505 so 75" without the above described problems with Destiny2 on the PC and an Nvidia with Intel CPU. It's just a setting you need to set in Destiny2 and the drivers. If you want, I'll be happy to help you find out.

The LG OLED G2 is G-Sync compatible, so it's most likely just a configuration issue.
If you are using an HDMI cable, make sure HDMI Compatibility Mode in the TV settings is set to On. In the case of an DP-port cable it should be set to 1.4.

If screen tearing appears, it's most likely that you don't have stable 120 fps, which isn't surprising since the engine has some serious frame drops with i.g. Stasis effects. Depending on the quality of your HDMI cable it might be a better idea to go down to 90-100 fps for 4K.

And you should activate G-Sync instead of plain V-Sync.
In the NVidia Control Panel go to the Display section and go into the "Set up G-Sync" option. Make sure G-Sync is activated for the screen mode you want to use. Either only in fullscreen or fullscreen and window mode (for borderless window)

update your drivers and set your settings accordingly. your using nvidia just like me just more powerful. your opinion of consoles being master race is flawed but i wont hate on someone who cant get there system to run better then someones older system. your obviously a main console player so heres the biggest thing you need to know. pc games are more versitile and are set to work with many different kinds of ram, gpus, cpus, ect. consol games are easier to make because its just set hardware that will be the same in 13 years theres no need to update the game as much. in order for your set up to run right it must be set up to accompany your set-up in games settings. you probably also need to go to nvidia site and update your drivers because if your drivers are outdated your not getting the devices potential. also watch a youtube video instead of complaining because something aint the same as simple consoles. most pc players were once console players... also word from the wise dont get the newest stuff that comes out in terms of graphics cards, most of the time it will be a year or 2 till its drivers are made

that is very strange.. i'm on a 3080 on a 55 LGCXOLED and don't have any screen tearing at all.. are you sure you have your instant game respons enabled on the tv. and in your NCP you have Gsync enabled, Vsync set to on under manage 3d settings global settings and Vsync set to off in Destiny 2 settings?
