CONTACTING DESTINY 2 SERVERS

every two seconds, anytime u swap a weapon or subclass or armor, or load into a planet, or pick ur character. like how is this still not resolved its been happening since beyond light LMAO almost no reason to have this on an ssd the load times are still god awful. its ANNOYING

I disagree, I am rarely getting this issue and load times are not bad.
If you feel like there is no reason to have this game on your storage device, that's clearly your call. If you feel that way, the only response I can give is bye, good luck finding what you will enjoy.

That would be a "Your End" problem.
Be sure Your router is set correctly, I.E. Nat is not restricted, IPV 6 is enabled, and you're NOT playing over Wi-Fi.

using ethernet, NAT is always open, IPV 6 is enabled, upnp is enabled, i have 250 down an 22 up… im sure i am not the issue here

edit: apparently ppl still use wifi to play pc games so my bad lol

I don't like Bungie, but I don't scream at the sky and boycott companies I disagree with. I like this game and accept that it has flaws. If someone made a game like this that was better, that's where I would be.

Besides all of that, if I were an AI my post would likely look smarter.

anyways minus the weirdo bot, what can i do besides verifying game files/reinstalling bc ive done both... is it server side orrr, i never get error coded just the "contacting servers" all the time

its the server, ive been getting a lot of those messages too

There are many things that go into making your connection to Bungie, not just your PC/Router. We had a couple of days here that were bad, then it happened, our internet went down. When the internet connection was restored, we no longer had the issues. Also, there are a number of servers between you and Bungie, any issues in the route can cause you issues.

Bungies servers are on the weaker/slower side on the apps, but that was to help the players connected with the game. I don't work there, but I suspect some server upgrades would help. I just rarely have that issue, it might be my physical location that helps me.
