Did you take a break and resume it?

Has to be in one instance. If you leave at any point, you won't get the triumph.

You cannot leave the activity, or it will ruin your solo/flawless run.

Thats the most cruel thing ive ever seen in a "game". I guess they have to reclassify the product description for destiny as a personal torture routine.

You need like 1-2 hours at best to do solo run, it's not that hard.

The triumphs tell you that you cannot leave the activity or it voids it. If you want cruel, you can look back to the old comp system where it had loss streaks that, iirc, could still make you lose a bit of points if you won one game after a series of losses.

solo spire is like 60 minutes tops if you're on light, just go do it again tbh
Mister Wiggles Feb 6, 2023 @ 7:51am
Do it in one sitting. If you aren't going for flawless then you don't really have a reason to back out. Set aside about 2 hours and you'll get it done, just remember to claim the triumph before you leave the dungeon.

And yeah, it's unfun to learn this way. I mostly know because a buddy of mine went through Duality and Spire in the same week, only to find he had to repeat both.

I'm not even sure I want to bother with spire, the five million HP bosses seem more of a slog to work through than a challenge.

It doesn't.

Complete all encounters in the "Spire of the Watcher" dungeon solo

I remember for the Harbinger title I did the solo flawless Pit of Heresy, and I got the triumph even though I had a disconnect and had to resume from a checkpoint. But this dungeon is different it seems. It's like every dungeon has specific little differences or various requirements for their triumphs and they all don't want the exact same thing.

They do. Previous dungeons were patched to require one full one with no disconnects or assistance. At one point in the past you could load the final checkpoint indefinitely in Pit and Prophecy and as long as in that session you didn't die or have help you could literally flawless the boss ONLY and have it count. If you died you could just return to orbit and relaunch the checkpoint and try again.

This. The rules get stricter because people try to cheat them.

It is still bad treatment for players, honestly if we do a perfect run and DC at 99% due to a server error/throttling or whatever, that is just cruel. Honestly this tells me a lot more about a company than anything else they communicate, at the end of the day, it is mental abuse of their own customers. Some of this content literally have the complexity of Quake 2,.. so I dont really know why it is such an overinflated "bigdeal" that people have fun, get loot and generally have a good time.

The entire premise of signing up for an online game is to have a good time, but the only common theme with Bungie is how to make players suffer, suffer to disconnects, suffer to rng, suffer to random physics, and of course the so called "mechanics=instakilling cheapshots" of the early 80s lol...
