Cross-Progression/Content Question
So my PC has recently gotten to the point where it's better than my Xbox and I wanted to start playing D2 on PC instead of there, but I never payed attention to the Cross-Play/Progression stuff from way back when because I didn't think it would ever apply to me.

What exactly would I need to buy on Steam in order to make sure I still had access to all the content I had on Xbox? On Xbox I had access to everything - Seasons, Dungeons etc. and had all the Deluxe versions of expansions when they came out. Would I just need to buy Lightfall and link my Steam + Xbox profiles on Bungie.net? Or would I need to get something else too?

You'd link your profiles on Bungie.net, and set up Cross-Save, with your XBox characters as the 'active' account. That will make those characters playable on both XBox and Steam.

Expansion packs need to be owned on each platform you want to play them on. So if you wanted 'everything', you'd need the legacy pack, the 30th anniversary pack, and the standard version of Witch Queen. You would not need to buy the deluxe because the season passes and the dungeon key count as in-game purchases, tied to your character profile rather than the console/system like the expansions.

If you're then thinking about Lightfall, set up cross-save FIRST. As per what I said about season passes, buying the Annual Pass edition first may end up associating the in-game season passes to your Steam profile. Then when your XBox characters get shared over by cross-save, they will not have the passes. So cross-save first, then buy the Annual Pass edition.
