Champion Platinum !?.

WTF is this ?. I keep seing it given to me as reward when i'm farming a
strike for a weapon, but i can't see the currency anywhere in my inventory
or available to spend in any shops .

Is this just another useless currency that the devs were simply too lazy to remove?.

It's not a currency, it's about how many of the champions you killed, you got them all, good for you.

It's a rank depending on how many champs to killed. It determines your RNG for drops at the end of the activity.

I've gotten platinum every run so far and not a single reward.

On the first one you should have gotten a pinnacle.

The higher percentage of champions you kill in Nightfalls, the more likely you are to get the rare rewards, like the nightfall exclusive weapons. "Platinum" means you got all of them for maximized chance, "Gold" is if you missed some, I assume there is Silver and Bronze below that if you miss a lot but I don't think I have ever seen them. Higher chance does not equal guaranteed, especially if you are doing lower difficulties where they have a low drop rate (I assume you are just pubbing Heroic).
