TWAB - "More on the exciting new collaboration with Ubisoft."
Bungie just did a TWAB today and the bit in quotations is the first thing they mentioned on their list.

I've seen this happen before, between DE (Warframe) and GGG (Path of Exile) during fun little things like april fools or one lead dev helping the other how to set up a convention. Next thing you know, DE winds up announcing they are now under the ownership of Tencent just like GGG is.

Am I maybe getting worried over nothing? Perhaps, but after having seeing this play out before, I'm wary. It's one thing to sell yourself out to Tencent since they don't seem to care about development in western servers, but Ubisoft will do worse.

Considering ActiBlizz got taken over by Microsoft, anything can happen.

Epic didn't get them, why would I worry about Ubi?

The sale hasn't been finalized and there's going to be a BUNCH of hurdles in the way of that happening.

Well, technically speaking, DE is already under Tencents rule bc they bought DE‘s former shareholder in china

Not sure how I react after their leak. Considering Ubi's stock has gone down like 2 or 3 years ago ever since they are struggle with their funds.

Digital Extremes was purchased by Leyou in 2014, who was only purchased by Tencent in very late 2020. The PoE x Warframe april fools was almost 2 years before that.
