I have a problem with voice chat
So i have been in to raids for the last couple of weeks and im enjoying it alot. Only deeps stone crypt left and im thinking doing masters when im fully mastered them.
But here is the problem i dont have a bad headset its Corsair Void but people in the game says that voice cames to deep or low so they dont understand what i am saying in the voice chat.
I check the game options, windows options i tested on discord i recorded my own voice there is just no problem at all. Hell im working at call center and im using this head set today to acualy see if there is any problem and not even a single customer complain anything about my voice.

I dont understand what is wrong and how to fix it. Or problem comming from me in the first place. I need help. Any idea how to solve this problem ?

I hear many times from people who use In-game chat that does not work well. Mostly not clear, howling, distorted, too late or too fast.

AFAIK the in game chat is just f*cked. Probably better to use 3rd party chat services like discord

I have seen non of those, how can the game voice chat be too fast?
We tried Discord once because one of our clan members wanted to. I heard no difference in the sound, but having people pop in that are not in game I found annoying. The only issue I have seen with the in game voice chat is someone who had the speaker show up but I could not hear them, and that might have been them having the mic level too low. When we have a fire team the voice chat always works just fine for us.

OP, are you using software that came with the headset? If so, does it have an EQ?

in-game chat works fine i use it everyday. in fact it is better than it was 5 years ago by far. I have the corsair HS80 headset. Super comfy. I used to have the corsair void elite but was never snug enough. Anyway not here to advertise but alas I've experienced mic issues such as this.

What I've found is to make sure the listen level is at 100. Right click on the sound icon in the system tray, click sounds, click the tab at the top that says Recording, double click your headset, click levels at the top, make sure the slider is all the way to 100.

After that, make sure you have the software specific to the headset installed. I use corsair icue so not sure if the model of headset you have is controlled by icue. Even without RGB icue controls various peripherals in the corsair ecosystem.

Best I can offer at this point.

I use Dolby as well. If you have spatial sound turned on in Windows, it will cancel the EQ setting in iCue. However, it WILL allow you to control the Mic Volume, which is separate from the Mic Volume setting in Windows. So you should still update to the latest and go into iCue and make sure the mic volume is also set to 100.

Edit: The mic has to be active (turned on, on the headset) for the setting to be adjustable.

The only other thing I can think of is it may not be you at all but all other users where, if they go into Destiny 2 settings under social and make sure Voice chat volume is at max they can here you. If you're using Discord, it will have it's own entire set of settings surrounding voice chat which IMO is way more complex (doable, but complex) than the in-game chat.

Anyway - hope you figure it out.

I have maxed every mic settings in the pc. And yesterday was smooth not even a single customer complain anything about my voice. i also discovered i can bend the mic wire of my headset. Im using it over 4 month and now im discovering this. Maybe this can also help.
But i think main problem is people cant hear because of the background sounds.

Sounds great! (pun for fun) Yes putting the mic closer to your cheek or just near your chin helps, but make sure it's covered with a foam guard so any moisture from your breath and such don't ruin it. Speaking of, make sure the mic is dusted well just to be sure.

I'll use often the in-game chat cause Sony does not offer Playstation party for PC players also no discord option.

I don't really have problems with in-game voice chat combined with Nvidia broadcast.

The only advice I can give you, check your WINDOWS settings. Yes destiny 2 grabs the default communication device setup on your windows sound settings.

Creative Sound Blaster or razer synapse does not affect the game voice settings

Stay on topic please. This is about helping the OP fix their voice chat problems if anyone still has anything constructive to offer. This is not about throwing shade on toxic voice chat players and the services and clans that harbor them. Don't need that negative energy. : )
