Solo exploration option?
Don't reply to this thread if you aren't going to be serious, please.
Seriously though, wouldn't it be nice to have the option to explore an area completely alone? Like, I'm tired of having my kills being stolen when I'm trying to do bounties, or when I'm trying to turn an event into an heroic only for others to ruin everything. There should be an option to explore maps completely alone, there would literally be no disadvantage to that.

Would be nice to have it? Yes.
Will we get it? No.
Why not? Bungie.

Bungie considers this a co-op focussed MP game, so they see no point in providing a SP mode.
Also it would require a bit of work (not too much I would guess). So, not going to happen.

As to the rest, lost sectors are instanced. So you are safe there.

The wanted bounties form spider that aren't in a lost sector can be a bit of an annyoance yes, because if you are waiting for one of them, it will feel like they only spawn every 2 millenia or so. Also they have way to low a HP pool and the message you get about them being nearby is rather discrete and vague. So, chances are if you don't know the wantet's route, by the time you found him, someone else will have killed him and the waiting game starts anew. Not fun. Wait for a public event to start and then ignore it in favour of looking for your target. That's when the usually spawn.

As to public events. I only realy have an issue with two (or three-ish) of them.
One is the Taken Blight: Not sure why but there are still a lot of players not going for heroics. Either they simply don't know how and don't care, or they think not heroic it will be faster (I don't think it is).
Th other is the cryopod. In it's infinite wisdom (caution, sarcasm detected), Bunge descided to make a public event that takes about 3-4 times longer on heroic than normal. Guess what players will do...

Lately I found quite a number of cases, when players forced a non-heroic end to the fallen walker event. Not sure why that's happening recently. In Y1 + 2 that wasn't an issue iirc. But it's still doable. The others can be quite reasonably set to heroic and other players will usually play along.
So, not too much of an issue in general.

Overall, if you wan't to explore solo, you can just ignore the other players and go your own way.

Um, why? These aren't the official forums, people will comment if they feel like it and not if they don't.

Also, no.

u can block other players via task monitor service network by suspending network traffic and re-enabling it

Solo Strikes would help to solve this problem.

Not really. Most Strikes start you off in a public instance of the location where they take place.

MMOrpg's do not work like that.

I prefer single player too and I do not have a problem playing with others. It's like having the best of both worlds (SP and MP) in one. But I agree that there needs to be options to do the game alone and I don't see why Bungie couldn't do that for anyone.

Not gonna happen. Destiny 2 is an online shooter created around co-op.
It would be like saying that you want travel solo in WoW so others wont steal your nodes or rare spawns.

It's a coop shooter and, let's be honest, it's a pretty mediocre solo experience.
I too am a lone wolf, but a lot of my fun comes from interacting with randoms, even if it's just emoting the hell out of each other, or see what goofy crap occasionally happens in what are supposed to be pretty straightforward strikes.

Go into Vanguard, look left at the Heroic Adventures, they are solo. Then look right at the 820 Nightfalls, they are solo if you don't choose to take teammates.

You can also go into lost sectors on any planet, you will usually be there solo. Or you can free-roam and most of the time if there is a crowd you can just move to a different area where there are no other players.

Even Warframe has a solo option, so that's not an excuse.
And just because another game has the option doesn't mean that the developers will add the option 😂 what kind of point is this?
