Best Non-DLC Base game Weapons?

Hello everyone, i quitted Destiny 2 after i completed the imperial raid.

i decided to give this game another try. Now with all the DLC's and stuff wich i am not going to buy what are in your opinion the best weapons (Non DLC)

PVP/PVE ?

If you like hand cannons, the Midnight Coup from the Leviathan Raid is still great in PvE.

If you want PvP weapons, you can try to get the Mountaintop and The Recluse, both are Quests you get from Shaxx.

So weapons like, Prosecutor, Vigilance Wing, Uriel's Gift, Graviton Lance are all no good anymore ?

Most Y1 weapons are inferior to Y2 and Y3 weapons, because they have static rolls with just 1 perk. Midnight Coup is a bit different, because it has two perks.
Some of the Y1 weapons got a Y2 version, like Uriel's.

I think the strongest loadout you can run in PVE is probably spare rations, sole survivor w/ triple tap & firing line, whisper of the worm/150 RPM grenade launcher w/ spike grenades.

bug out bag in smg (with mkc) also works well
machinegun.... hey don't forget 21% delirium, in pve it mostly easy to get ammo

Bug out bag is okay. The two that I mentioned are a cut above though. Multikill clip isn't very good in PVP. You're rarely (if ever) gonna proc MKCx3.

Good call on 21% delirium. It's great in any activity where you're more focussed on ad clearing than boss damage. I usually run delerium, hammerhead or edgewise in nightfalls, depending on which element I need. If I'm running a machine gun in an activity where element isn't important, it's delirium.

Duke is trash. 110s have no place in the current meta. They shouldn't have been subject to the blanket range nerf IMO, but they were and now they're just the same as the other hand cannons, but slower. 110s are only good while you have kill clip or rampage x2 up, and that isn't a good place to be. You want a weapon that's consistent, not a weapon that's good 10% of the time.

The duke is only good if you kill steal to proc rampage tho

Likely weapons that you can roll with great perks, it's all about what you can do with them.

I swear by crimson and vigilance wing, not only do they murder they come with perks that help when it matters.

you understand word black armory is part of forsaken dlc same as menagerie, so you are cut off from many good stuff. but dawning has plenty of good weapons, scout, handcannon, best kinetic 720 assault, good shotgun, but without paying well season ends in 26 days, you are too late to charge all with fractline to get all good weapons rolls.

Wrong. Black Armory & Menagerie have been available to everyone since the game went F2P in September.
