In general i'm pretty sure that you want 100 Discipline and Resilience
Discipline and Resilience are gold on each class - BUT Hunters benefit immensely from Mobility, and Warlocks benefit a lot from recovery.

Hunters can dodge more often with higher mobility which is great for the stat buffs and perks you get from rolling around. Also for refreshing abilities with the recharge bump mods. Not to mention I feel Hunters have the weakest jump in the game and using high mobility (90 or 100) makes you feel a lot less clunky when jumping.

Warlocks can drop rifts more often with higher recovery which can be very good for supporting fireteam members and saving yourself behind cover. Also for refreshing abilities with the recharge bump mods.

Titans can drop shields more often with higher resilience - and again can use the class item mods to bump ability recharges.

Hunter I prioritize: Mobility>Resilience>Discipline
Titan I prioritize: Resilience>Discipline>Strength or Strength>Discipline depending on buiild.
Warlock: Discipline>Recovery>Resilience

I hope that helps you some.

Optimally, every class benefits from max Resilience thanks to the damage resist.

After that, prioritize Recovery if a Warlock, and Mobility if a Hunter.

Intellect, Discipline, and Strength can be played with depending on your playstyle.

general rule of thumb,

PvE: Max Resil, then max class ability stat, then any ability that you might be building around stat, then recov as high as you can get it,

PvP: Max recov mandatory, max resil takes priority though if titan, then max class ability stat. You could stop listening there but imo after that get resil to 50, I think it's more useful than people give it credit for.

100 resilience in PvE is mandatory 40% damage reduction used to be exclusif to a Charged with light protective light mod combo now its free :D

Light 3.0 made all grenades available and lets face it, Pulse,Storms,Solar's,Fusions and Vortex nades decimate PvE mobs so 100 discipline is also amazing for PvE

Strength is iffy at best, with 50 you can make most builds work with heavy handed slotted in your mods, classes which abuse melee's have a good built in regen speed in their general gameplay loop

Recovery, this is where ALL your excess should be falling in even as a warlock in PvE sadly Resilience is better, makes your well tankier, makes u die less :P

General rule of thumb, Slot Resilience armor finder on ghost, Farm containement on leviathan get stacked in opulent energy and buy those piece from Crown of sorrow on helm,
2(mobility) 23(resilience) 10+(Recov) 23(Disc) 2(intellect) 2(strength) that would result in a 62 roll and if im NOT mistaken Legendaries cap at 68 stats so potentially u could get the perfect 23/23 Resilience/discipline and if RNGesus love u those 6 remaining point to bring u to 16 recovery...happy hunting :D

...quick note screw intellect xD, 1 well mod gives u a juicy 100 int for 25 seconds (Font of wisdom)...and well 25 seconds is ALOT for you to refresh it

i did triple 100 for my titan. 100 resilience, 100 recovery and 100 strength

Personal opinion on stat importance

Titan - Resilience > Discipline > Recovery
Warlock (My main) - Recovery (100) > Discipline (104) > Resilience (60)
Hunter - Mobility > Resilience > Discipline

I'm too lazy to check what stats I have for my other characters
