Edit: Also look under Archive in the store for sets that can be had, for silver.
Sorry, I thought you were talking about armor. I'm not even sure how many legendary weapons have ornaments, look in the appearance of it and see if it does, maybe it will show what there is there like on exotics?
It's only certain weapons with ornaments, and only through the store, though I'm fairly certain only in the Bright Dust cycle. The original gambit weapons set had ornaments sold as a set, and they were sold through Bright Dust. (I miss my Bygones)
You can check which weapons have alternates because they'll have an appearance slot for them, but unlike paid ones the options don't show unless owned. Quick google search about the Calus mini-tool comes up with the ornaments being on the Bright Dust store months back, so you'll have to keep an eye on the store to see if they come back up.
Those were only sold for a limited time, they are rarely ever sold. Bungie might bring those older ones such as mini tool back every now and then, but i could be wrong.
You can search on youtube for eververse calender videos that will go over what's being sold at every reset.
Not a whole lot of Legendary grade weapons get them though.
now obviously, sunsetting has been stopped, so they could theoretically start making legendary ornaments again, but they've not said anything about them for over 2 years so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
the only reason the opulent weapons had them for dust last season is because they were already made back in season of opulence in year 2 Forsaken, but that could also potentially mean if they were to re-issue weapons that had ornaments in the past, they could then put those ornaments back up for dust again.
