How to find lower power level gear

I wanna infuse my SMG which is power level 932, all the drops are 950 though, how can I get a lower power level smg to drop

take a look in the collections page, often you are able to pull an smg out of there that isnt necesarly on your current powerlevel

Damn, they are all 926 power level, 1 level lower than allowed.

Hmm... then maybe have make a temp new toon untill it has a smg on lower power leven then store it in the vault to then grab it on the toon you want the smg on?

No idea to be honest, likely there is some form of trade posible but you would require an second person handing you that gun and that might be a bit tough to get arranged.

You can't reduce the power level of an item. You can only increase it with infusion.

Yeah, what I meant was i need to find an smg power level 937 tops, so i can infuse my 932 with it and increae the 932's

When you infuse it brings whatever weapon to that light (or armor) so if it was a 930 hand and the drop that you infused to is 950 it will go to 950.

It doesn't matter what the difference is; you could be going from 750 to 1000 and it'd take the same resources and effort as going from 980 to 981.

What really? It tells me the base power is too low and i read that you can only infuse by using a weapon with only 5 more power level, so why cant i infuse mine? Also thank you for being patient i am quite new

You must infuse lower light with higher light. If it says base power too low then you are trying to infuse the other way.

you use the 950 dropped weapon to infuse your 932 smg, making it a 950 smg, you must use a HIGHER number weapon to infuse a lower number,thats why it tells you too base power too low on stuff under 932

Also be sure you are using the right gun for infusing, you use the 932 smg, hover over the upgrade you want to use, you don't open the 950 cun to infuse it to the 932, that is also a reason why you get too low base power

its not the same effort to get there it takes way longer to reach 1000 XD

Also, trading is literally pointless in this game.
