Cross-platform saving
Good morning guys.

I have been a Destiny 2 player for over 4 years. I've played in the trials of Osiris, et cetera. But all on ps4. I have been looking for information and except for the characters, I have lost all the dlc, right? I had all the dlcs, even the "Beyond Light" pre-order, all from ps4.

I may be corrected here, but i belive that DLC's are tied to that platform. So if you got them on the PS4, you will have to aquire them again for PC..

That is correct!

DLC is licensed by the platform, not by Bungie. When you are purchasing a DLC, you are purchasing the license to access that DLC from that platform. This is how DLC has worked for years.

Cross Save does not grant entitlements to any of these DLCs and does not transfer with Cross Save. Season passes travel with the characters they are redeemed on when Cross Save is active.

yes DLC does NOT transfer crossplatform so you wont be able to access certain areas
that is why when you log in, you always start in space
however, your character is exactly the same on any platform, everything you have will be in your inventory

the only things that you can keep on other platforms are season passes, dungeon keys, and silvers

If you don’t mind me asking, why is this stopping you from playing?

I've played a lot of Destiny, I had everything, absolutely everything bought, its dlc and I've invested a lot in passes, including cosmetics. But having to pay again for the content that I have already paid for on another platform does not seem very fair to me, I know that the company is the company and it does not seem bad to me, but I think it should be another way.

Also, I left him with a power of almost 2000, I don't know how much the truth has changed. I played the new DLC for less than 4 hours because the power it had with enemy damage seemed a bit incomprehensible to me, and aside from the expiration of weapons, there have been some changes that have not convinced me, but I still say that the game is incredible.

While I understand that, this is how DLC has worked for years and is not specific to Bungie. All games (that I am aware of) do not transfer or grant entitlements to DLC on other platforms. If you have any specific examples, I’d love to hear about it!

I’m not quite sure what you are referring to regarding the power leveling though. Players can’t reach power level 2000 currently.

Well then they haven't increased the power much. I remember abandoning everything at about level 1800.

Weapon expiration, apparently quest weapons like "The Top", can no longer be handled, because they were capped at certain power levels.

Well, not all the games I know. But I would say and I think I remember that some yes, for example, xbox with microsoft, games bought on xbox I can access content on pc, for example.

Honestly, I'd like to go back, I was helping a lot of new people in raids, although I have to admit that despite having the title of "Flawless" from Osiris, there were a lot of hackers in pvp. I enjoyed 200% in pve.

We were not able to reach a power level as high as this in the entire lifespan of D2 so far. We're barely approaching 1600, with the current pinnacle cap being 1580.

And you're thinking of something completely different, Xbox and Microsoft Store belong to the same company. Same ecosystem. They already got your money. This is a different situation than buying something from for example Sony and expecting Steam to just give it out to you. Valve wants their 30% just as much.

I already know it. But well, it has annoyed me not being able to have enough to play and well, at the moment the desire to play is the minimum to not want to spend money on the dlcs, but I honestly do not rule it out in the future.
