Crown of Sorrow - Umbral Engram question
So ... I went to the Crown of Sorrow, and I decoded an Umbral Engram into a "Worldly Armor" piece. ... and ... I got a Road Complex chest piece (of unimpressive stats). And I went to Rahool and did his generic decode engram thing ... and got a Road Complex chest piece (of unimpressive stats).

So, basically I got the same thing from each one.

The thing is ... the Crown of Sorrow decode charged me 10 legendary shards.

So my question is: What did I get for my 10 shards?

Does the Crown of Sorrow decode have something going for it that makes it worth the 10 shards? I mean, maybe I just got really unlucky with that engram, but I'm really disinclined to test it out given the cost. I've got better things to be burning shards on.

Any thoughts?

Going to the Crown of Sorrow and focusing into Worldly Armor will make it so you can *only* get armor pieces, whereas decoding with Rahool can pull from the entire pool that Umbrals can pull from, which includes both armor and weapons. So you're paying more shards to guarantee a specific type of drop, instead of any drop at random.

You getting the exact same armor from both the focusing and Rahool was just coincidental RNG.

Hmm... okay.

That doesn't really seem worth it. It seems like if I'm going to spend 10 shards I should be getting a bit more for them, but maybe that's just me.

I suppose maybe that might have SOME use for my alt characters but ... still seems pricey.

10 shards Ian’s that bad, but yes the worldly armor catagory is near useless. Your better off holding your umbral energy until you can focus season of the Haunted specific items. Eventually you can unlock guranteed deep sight focusing once a week.

what you want for armor focusing is the season of the haunted armors on page 3. Those are the ones that grant high stat roll armor

Ahh, I'll take a look at those, thanks.
