Why is my voidwalker missing?

Just joined back this week after not playing for a year or so. I somehow lost my voidwalker subclass which was the only one I used. I looked up some info and I was supposed to get the "Gazing into the abyss" quest to unlock it with Ikora Rey. Ikora just shows me a locked void subclass and the solar class which I have. Apparently I was supposed to get the quest after completing "A Guardian Rises" but I never got it. It's not in my quest tab and there is nothing in the archive kiosk by the postmaster.

Am I dumb or am I bugged?

That's what I was talking about when I said "and there is nothing in the archive kiosk by the postmaster" at the end of my paragraph. That kiosk, to the left of where you pick up mail, all I can do is right-click on the New Light's section and nothing pops up. The Quest Archive has nothing for me unfortunately...

You are a saint just for the attention. It's good that the community is this good well after I was Destiny fan. I started playing this game on my xbox with my roomate 7ish years ago.

Its strange that the guardian rises quest isn’t available to you. I know on my warlock it’s sitting in my quest archive as I never completed it (oldest character pre new light).

That said, I did recently have to rebuild my hunter because of a nasty Iron Banner bug. So far, going through new light quests have worked without issue.

I know its quite “unwanted” but maybe deleting your character and rebuilding can work. If you have high level gear, best to stash it in the vault first so its not lost. Then use a service like Destiny item manager or the Destiny 2 companion app to bring that equipment and breeze through the introductory content.

I don't want to restart, but if I have to, I have no choice. I've had a Hunter, Warlock, and a Titan since this ♥♥♥♥ came out on Battle.net and I'd rather not restart.

I have to say, I read this earlier, then now noticed that I don't have any Void options on my Warlock. It's grayed out so I cannot do anything to get it back. I've had my 3 characters for a few years and used to have Void.. now I don't.
