Take the reward for rank 17 by holding F.

i didnt hold F when i claimed it so what do i do ? i tried moving my mouse over the engram and holding F and nothing happenedd

Go to vendor and claim everything from the reward track (powerful engrams, shaders, upgrade modules, prisms, etc.), then the last reward (shard) will become available and you'll be able to reset your rank by claiming it.

Might be good to share a screenshot of the vendor's reputation screen.
The usual problem I find is that you are maxed out on Enhancement Prisms, and the vendor has two unclaimed ones on their reward list. They appear dimmed because you are full, leading people to believe they have been claimed. But they do not have the blue tick mark at the bottom right.

i got 30 enchancement prisms in my inventory & 50 at postman. Any ideas?

you havent claimed any of those rewards, you need to claim them to reset.

the whole row leading up to the ascendant shard which is what you claim to reset, just below rank rewards.

Yes that would be those, start with the shiny pink engram and work your way across to the golf ball

All those rank rewards you haven't taken are the whole reason to rank up at all. If you haven't claimed them, you have no reason to reset your rank, that would just lock you out of the rewards you earned.
