Unless you install Windows on the Steam Deck.

Look at the state of the game again on PC and then ask them to support Linux.
Honestly I am getting fed up with sub par support.
Ludicrous that they don't want to feature on the Steamdeck.
This is actually a very good point, the Linux community is extremely self sufficient when it comes to getting unsupported software working and creating drivers and workarounds where nothing existed before as it has a user-base of some of the most technical minds in home and server based computing, so this would be no extra work for Bungie ultimately, the only thing that has a negative impact for them is that they wont be able to install their battle-eye rootkit on a linux machine to scan every running process and information stored in memory.
Both EAC and BattlEye are available natively and with steam proton. When we say 'get this working for linux', we're not asking for the developers to make an entirely new build and test it on linux machines, we're just asking them to update their anti cheat to support proton, which is as easy a checkbox, so that linux users can play the windows build.
