I find them kind of annoying. Ticuu's Divination is really the only bow I bother using at all these days, and only when I have a bounty for a bow.
Personally, I'd rather be using my Osteo Striga. Now there's a fun weapon.
I have some bows that I think are pretty BA, Le Monarque, Trinity Ghoul and Leviathan's Breath, then Tyranny of Heaven, Wolftone Draw, Point of the Stag, Arsenic Bite-4b and others (I have a lot of bows) are fun to use. However, I do find I use Osteo Striga a LOT, but sometimes in my energy or heavy slot I have a bow. Bows are like snipers with a lot of ammo.
Well, that's a fair point I suppose. Between my reflexes and my aging machine (which means Destiny 2 is kind of laggy for me). I find sniping and high accuracy kind of a pipe dream.
I'm more likely to be using a Trace Rifle in my energy slot and a Sword in my power slot these days. I prefer high rates of fire and lots of ammo. Especially if I'm doing any group activities where I'm already feeling like I'm trailing the pack (both literally and in terms of damage done).
I switch things up, lately I've been trying something on my Hunter I saw on youtube, I have never gotten my Blade Barrage back in 25 second like he did, but I get it back pretty fast. Using Bad Juju, various solar SMGs or Strident Whistle bow and a Sola's Scar with I forget what mods now.
Hmm... have to try that, more supers is always good, and of the Solar abilities, Blade Barrage is the one I prefer.

-Make bows rather ineffective when not fully drawn. Thus, slowing down their gameplay. ////Unfortunately, it's not that difficult to get bows with a really fast draw time, reducing the magnitude of this downside.
-Punish the user if they keep a bow fully drawn for more than an instant. Thus, preventing someone from simply keeping the bow fully drawn until it is needed. ////However making sure you get a perfect draw isn't that difficult, as you can just draw cancel (or equip a bad exotic armor piece), borderline ignoring the downside.
-Make bows have a rather high downtime between shots. Thus, punishing missed shots, which are further punished by the draw-time. ////Though bows can have some pretty fast reload speeds. Alternatively there is nothing stopping you from switching to your other weapon. Like the previous downside, this one is essentially ignorable.
However what is most notable of it all, is that bows almost play the game themselves thanks to their accuracy stat. It makes them very forgiving, making their high damage very easy to access. Combine that with the removal of white bricks, and bows essentially become an easy to use primary sniper rifle, that in some ways is much stronger than an actual Sniper Rifle.
I'd say if they wanted to nerf bows, they'd probably have to make some of the downsides more notable. From a M&K perspective, their accuracy stat should be nerfed. Furthermore, they should probably have switch speeds more similar to that of the lower handling Sniper Rifle archetypes.
I think if you check it, you will find that if you don't ADS and don't fully draw there is an arc to the arrow's path. I think when you ADS and fully draw it's hit scan.
